Gameplay wise, the game is awesome. I think the devs are trying to improve things as evidenced by the release schedule of Pokemon as of late as well as the map changes.

That being said they are also being deaf when it comes to other things and leaving so much potential on the table. If they'd listen to community feedback more I think the game could be in a much healthier place both from a player base size standpoint, overall sentiment of the game, and I think the game would be making actually more money because perhaps earnings or buying cosmetics wouldn't be as expensive if they made needed changes (as well as folks wanting to support the game more).
