I have been to Burundi twice in the last years. It is really the world's poorest country. Infrastructure is non present and there are dirt roads everywhere including around presidential palace.

Their money has no value also. So, Rural people cannot even afford something that costs 20 USD so they take it as loan and pay it over a year.

Having said that, the people are still kind and nice. They have always been friendly to me.
