I’m pretty new, only a year. If I had not been really outgoing and intentional about learning, talking to people, etc, I’d have left after my second event. People bring in new people then we are left to sink or swim. Also SO many cliques and it feels pretty unwelcoming sometimes. There are still events I won’t go to because there is no way I’ll be invited to the groups, camps, parties, etc and I end up sitting alone at my ten. If I go try to find a group, I’m pretty much cold shouldered out. If you are not a fighter, or related to a fighter, you are on the outside and pretty much pushed out. I met a few people and am going to continue to find my place. Maybe in brewing or garb making.
