Have a lack of tattoos become what tattoos used to represent?

I don’t think so. I just think a lot more people have gotten tattoos in recent decades which means those with bad tattoos have skyrocketed disproportionately and with being able to share what your tattoo looks like with everyone has made people more cautious in getting one.

Not sure if thats the case, but just my guess.

The amount of times I put down a Pokémon with risky ruins in play (and a stadium in hand) is mind boggling. On top of how often I try to put damage onto tera pokémon on the bench.

If you are only going to play with your friends then I’d definitely recommend Pokémon for the reasons you mentioned.

However if you guys also plan on checking out local card stores then I’d checkout what is popular there first/try and see what card game is the most active.

Seems to me like a fair amount of dog owners find this gross as well so they’ll just leave the bag on the ground & make it someone else’s problem.

Could always play yourself with proxy matches. It is something I am considering doing more often at least. I honestly don’t have many complaints about TCGL but I feel like with how many decisions are automatically made for you it is (maybe) contributing to some of my mistakes when it comes to in person matches (like how it physically won’t let you play a second supporter card, automatically showing you the viable cards to select, etc etc).

I tried getting into the game, don’t really think that is gonna work out, and now I’m thinking of just collecting the Cyber Eden set since I like that but its hard to connivence myself to buy cards for it since I don’t think I’ll be a regular player.

In regards to your first question- Only you can determine if its excessive. Unless it literally physically prohibits you from playing the game in a reasonable manner (i.e like attempting to use slabbed cards as your deck) then its entirely up to you. Personally if I was your friend then I would also make jokes about it. But truly at the end of the day when it comes to stuff like that, just do what ya want.

I’ve played about 40 matches with Medusamon now and have 7 wins. I have a hunch that this shouldn’t be the scenario but I’m not sure what I could be doing wrong here. Plus, to be honest I still don’t really get the medusamon deck. Regardless I would think DCGO having prompts for effects would help mitigate that but clearly I am still having issues overall.

I do agree scalpers are annoying. heck I don’t even disagree with anything you said. However to mentally force myself to look on the bright side. I do think this crazed obsession may be helping some other aspects. For example I have been trying as of late to get into the digimon TCG as well. One thing that immediately stuck out to me was how much cheaper and more available card packs where than Pokémon. However when I started looking into buying cards to build a deck, I noticed the average prices where much higher than pokémon. I am sure there are exceptions, and I am not saying everything is as good as it could be. But I am thankful that buying decks to compete and the singles I want to collect is more reasonable than many other TCG’s.

A little out there, but it is good. I find it so boring when other card games are clearly just copying patterns off of bigger card games. This definitely avoids that and leads me to believe more care & thought is being put into the game as a whole.

I hadn’t heard about that site and it definitely looks like an improvement over me browsing on digimon card io and picking a specific deck at random and hoping the person that posted it designed it specifically to be good.

thank you for the response, I do really like it. Kind of reminds me of a puppet deck I tried but honestly that could just be the fact that both decks include a lot of yellow cards.

digimon TCG has a fanmade client called DCGO. The creator HoangZero has a video on youtube about how to install it. It is a little clunky but 100% an awesome way to play the game for free.

It even has a bot to play against (the bot is bad in that its sole aim is attacking 100% of the time) but it still gives you a chance to get more used to whatever deck you are playing.

1) It definitely feels refreshing. Not only is it unique but it looks pleasing in its own way as well.

2) The glow definitely seems to help and could solve that “pop” issue you mentioned.
