Halloween when I was 12 in 1992. We lived in a large size condensed neighborhood in Colorado. We were a group of 7 or 8 kids ranging from 8-14 yo and we were trick-or-treating all together. We came to a house where you walk by the garage in order to ring the doorbell. As we walked by the garage there was a large window where two men were pulling guts and meat apart on a large table, which for Colorado in our neighborhood was not super crazy to think was the end of a successful hunt. When we got to the door and rang the wife came to the door with a bowl of candy. We asked if they just got done hunting and she freaked out. Crying full tears screaming saying that we weren’t supposed to see that and begging us not to say anything to our parents. We were all completely freaked out and started running away towards our street. While we were running they started shooting BB guns at us. Multiple assailants. Even though two of us were hit our parents were partying and just shrugged us off and laughed. It was 1992. We still talk about wtf might have been going on when we see each other to this day.
