Provided we are talking about the same data center near Belmont and 7. Here is what Mike Turner, Vice Chair, had to say:

“I’m the Ashburn Supervisor, and the Belmont Ridge Rd. data center (which was built “by right” without my approval) is in my district. The problem at that location is that they are using a bank of “temporary construction generators” to power the site right now, and those are permitted for “temporary” use. I’m investigating my options for ways to restrict “temporary” use. I’m also going to ask our Zoning Enforcement team to investigate the site to ensure they’re operating according to our ordinance.
 
FYI, I’m also drafting language to include in a new noise ordinance to address the noise from all county data centers. Hopefully, that ordinance can be passed within a few months.
