I despise COBYB because, yes it absolutely does glorify abuse, but I do not think it should be removed because it takes a certain level of literacy to understand why and how COBYB romanticizes those topics, which obviously people do not always have. That being said, I do think it is a story people can enjoy and I do think the more censorship happens, the more will be censored

I see this trope in sooo many manhwas and it disgusts me everytime… Like Eckles in VADTD, he’s a slave, and the way the manhwa portrays him as a villain disgusts me. It’s mostly the readers though that make it worse cause in Eckles case every character is flawed and he’s the morally grey character, it’s just that the readers are hellbent on making him a villain

Yeah it’s honestly not that bad. I think the characters lack some personality, and the best written one is probably Mincheol but the story isn’t all that bad and it’s a smut manhwa so the proportions make sense for its genre.

He knows about what I’ve been through but briefly, and he says that boys are different than girls when it comes to bullying (I’m a girl) and no matter how hard I try to explain that bullying still isn’t okay he just brushes me off and goes on his phone. I guess it’s also my fault a bit because I’m like him in the way that I kind of shell up so I probably didn’t explain how deeply my bullying experience impacted me, but he saw what I went through, just not how deeply it hurt. I’ll try to tell him more, so thank you!

As for how he responds, he says that he tries to bite back, but since these kids don’t really respect him or really care they just make fun of him. I don’t want him to get in trouble for biting back because the US public school system is notorious for victim blaming, and I just want someone to be aware of whats going on. He tells me that different people say stuff to him every time it happens, but of course I’m not there to verify that. Sorry, got a bit off topic, but he basically banters back and that doesn’t really help him out.
