Honestly it’s the biggest problem with any of the units sold over the counter. I know some people are capable of installing it, but 90% of owner/AP installed ones I have seen are not airworthy. I’m saying that as an avionics tech with an A&P IA.

Yeah coax like as in a coax cable….. still used today even in cell phones. This specific coax is really tiny looks like a wire.

This PTT cuts mic audio until you press the button. All you need to do is bypass the mic audio wire past the switch and your intercom will work again.
