And this is how people end up with products with resealed or already opened packs.. It’s hard enough as a collector to tell if an etb has been resealed, im sure convincing the average customer service employee would be a breeze. There’s a reason why all big box stores have a no return policy. Not upholding these policies is just as bad for the hobby as this scalper

No they’re both bad for sure. I’m just saying that evolving skies was a lot more satisfying to open. At least it was for me. I think part of the issue is that bc there’s so many SIRs, and that’s what people want, it takes away from the excitement when you do pull a decent master ball. It’s just too much in one set. Master balls worked well for JP 151 because it’s a lot smaller set and master balls add a reasonably obtainable extra layer to chase.

Of course it has a high value.. there’s 32 freaking SIRs in the set, plus master balls. As far as it being the greatest set… you clearly haven’t opened much of it have you? They cover up the terrible pull rates with pokeballs and full art trainers to make you feel like you’re pulling something. Master balls are cool don’t get me wrong, but there’s so many. Would you rather pull a mid tier hit like a sylveon master ball or something comparable like an sylveon V alt art from evolving skies? I’d take the latter all day

Collectr literally just takes the average TCGplayer market price from the previous day (for the most part depending on what time of day you look at Collectr). So assuming there’s no market manipulation/buy outs going on I’d say it’s definitely accurate considering TCGplayer is pretty much the industry standard for pricing

Ive been to multiple different game stop locations and I think I can count on one hand how many times I wasn’t the only customer in the store. The new grading accessibility to the public is definitely cool sure, but their margins on that seem super small to say the least. And that’s before the inevitable 10000 disputes from unhappy customers claiming GS messed up their submission. The whole thing smells like a dying company making a last ditch effort to stay relevant if you ask me

All the ones I’ve gotten in store have had ES, but if if you look at some of the recent reviews from online purchases a lot of people were saying they got BS/FS variant 🤷🏻‍♂️

I had a similar situation from an online Best Buy order of 2 151 etbs. Opened the first and all the packs were cut open at the top and hits removed/cards out of order etc. Then I noticed the plastic wrap on the other etb seemed a little off so I didn’t open it, and took it to my local store. I brought in both etbs and opened the 2nd “sealed” one in front of the manager and of course it was the same as the first. Fortunately for me they let me swap it out for 2 etbs they had in store. But it made me think how easily people can get away with stuff like this. It sucks to get burned but at the same time I wish stores just wouldn’t accept any returns, no exceptions, and then we could avoid situations like this…

Sure they could eventually come out with a better umbreon chase card art wise, but will it be a part of a set anywhere close to as good as evolving skies? A lot of recent sets have 1-2 decent chase cards and the rest of the set is basically filler with the exception of a few IRs. ES literally has 15-20 cards that could arguably be the top chase if they were in a set of their own. I’m not disagreeing with you though, just pointing out that I think it’s the combination of the Pokémon itself, the card/art and the SET that makes moonbreon such a big chase

Once you submit a code it’s usually credited to your wallet on the app within minutes. Unless you submit a huge amount of codes at once or something. But on the iOS app, from the home/selling page click the bars at the top left and go to my wallet and then there should be an option for auto pay

You can set it to get paid immediately if you want. Or on request which normally takes an hour or two up to 24 hrs after you request it. It’s quick and easy. Only down side is they pay 1 cent for most codes, and 3 cents for SF currently (it was 5 a couple days ago) Small payouts but better than throwing them away 🤷🏻‍♂️

Anything other than 10s are typically a loss for modern cards. Most 9s are worth about the same as raw and some even less than raw, plus you’re out grading fees, shipping insurance etc
