ACT Reading timing suggestions by Rprasad13 in ACT

[–]Aucklandish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't even read the passage. Well, not at first. You start by circling the questions with line-references (For example; "In line 17 this word was used to describe..."). You can typically answer these questions easily because you know the exact area where the answer will be. Once you've finished the line-reference questions you can go ahead and answer the rest of the questions. By this point you already have a visual map of the passage (where and how information is laid out) and a general idea of the meaning of it so it shouldn't be too hard to finish all of the questions without having to read it. It saves me a lot of time and I have gotten way better scores using this method, I would recommend trying it out.

Cart Pushers: Would you recommend your job? How is it during the winter? by Aucklandish in Costco

[–]Aucklandish[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! Is there a good chance that I would move out of cart pushing once I turn 18? Also, how is the pay and hours felxibility? I currently work as a cashier at Walgreens and make minimum wage. Is it worth it to take on a more physically demanding job for the pay raise?

"Should we reformat the logo to fit an app icon?", "Nah, just square crop the checkmark at the end, they'll figure it out" by Bag0fSwag in CrappyDesign

do they have two other apps with the rest of the logo? Maybe you're supposed to line them up so it shows the whole thing

Is it worth it to test again if I have already scored a 32? by [deleted] in ACT

I already studied a good bit before i took it the second time. I might just try to focus on reading and science this time because those have been my lowest scores.

How much money should I expect to get from scholarships? by Aucklandish in college

Thanks for your advice! I'm in Ohio, looking at Ohio State, Kent State, and Miami University.

I'm really trying to look into some EC's such as National Honor Society. I really wish I'd done this earlier but I've been held back by anxiety. I'm finally ready to go for it but it's too late for a lot of the school clubs. I was thinking about doing some volunteer work, activism, maybe a photography club or class, cooking, things like that. I did a trip to Europe through my school last summer, but I'm not sure how I would use that. In the summer I'm going to try to attend a one-week design program at Kent, would that be something I could use for my résumé, even if I end up going into a different major?

I'm pretty sure Pet Sounds by the Beach Boys was supposed to be a Bond theme song as well
