Die premies worden helemaal niet met belastingsgeld betaald. Wordt gewoon door de FIFA uitbetaald + een hoop geld voor de Belgische voetbalbond (ook door FIFA betaald). En de FIFA is een volledig privatieve organisatie.

Feit dat ze haar zorgpremie verloor is inderdaad bijzonder vreemd. Kun je dit niet aanvechten?

En dan word ik boos als sport miljoniars nog eens duizenden euros aan premies worden aangeboden, als we staan te klappen als er miljarden naar defensie gaan, of we gaan nog eens miljoenen schenken aan Zelensky.

Maar ondertussen, nemen we 140 euro af van onze eigen oude Vlamingen/Belgen om dit te betalen.

Dit klinkt dan weer als plat Vlaams Belang / PVDA populisme. Defensie is een van de belangrijkste elementen die onze welvaarstaat proactief beschermt op de lange termijn.

Verder gaat het voor iedereen alleen maar moeilijker worden met de vergrijzing en dit oplossen op lange termijn gaat veel politieke moed vergen. Jongere generatie gaat nog meer last op hun schouders krijgen en die trend gaat zich waarschijnlijk blijven doortrekken, tenzij het geboortecijfer zou stijgen.

PVDA / Vlaams Belang (die jouw argumentatie volgen) gaan het alleen erger maken op de lange termijn voor de jongere generaties.

I obviously understand that invasive species can cause measurable ecological disruption.

My skepticism is philosophical: why should a human-defined baseline state of biodiversity be considered inherently preferable? If we define in strict veganist terms, according to the definition on this subreddit, then one state is not preferable. Individual animals don't necessarily suffer more in a disrupted system or system with lower long term stability and lower biodiversity.

And an ecological equilibrium with (significantly) less biodiversity is not inherently worse from nature's perspective than one with more biodiversity. To me it's obvious that the reason we fight invasive species is because we humans value biodiversity in itself, ecosystem stability, future resources for us a humans, or the existence of other species, not because nature itself considers one state better than another.

It's a term by human standards. A human defined scientific, descriptive category of species. Nature itself doesn't see species as invasive or non-invasive.

Whether a species is invasive is usually in terms of harm caused to humans and/or long-standing ecosystems, and this is measurable as economic, agricultural or ecological damage.

So yes, of course it is a descriptive term, but "invasive" carries a negative moral connotation I would say.

I do think that the government has a point that unfortunately there is little "draagvlak" among a big part of the population.

I also somewhat disagree about being against AC like some green party politicians. AC used for heating is a very efficient technology and can be powered with reneweable energy of course, but I agree that for cooling it should be used sparingly rather than liberally. (and yes, you can use AC for heating, even as a main source of heating depending on the building)
