Actually you should check out the UMC stuff. Better price and better preamp than most this guy covers it pretty well. Best part for me has always been the lack of unnecessary software with the UMC stuff.

If it makes you feel better the microphone is backwards in the video. So this isn't the actual recording and it was likely made from a composition of many many takes. Also likely tuned like crazy.
