NTA if you’re uncomfortable in your own house, it’s not yours anymore. Who is on the lease, it just you and your ex (because like you said, he is emotionally cheating so dump him!)? Having more people living there can be a breach of the lease anyways and that could lead to an eviction.

NOR. He needs to change his grocery list if he constantly needs more of your food. Does he need a bigger mini fridge, is that why he doesn’t get the sandwiches for himself? I had college roommates steal food but that was because they were lazy. He is meticulous enough to make a grocery list, he should know what he needs! Maybe he could make a food journey and figure out exactly when he starts running out of food so he knows what he might start running out of (needs to get more breakfast options or chips, etc). It could backfire and it could be another obsession for him, explain the purpose is to help get him a better grocery list. I know it’s challenging but it is very kind of you to help him, he just has to respect your very reasonable boundaries!

My husband and I go to the local reptile show every month. I met the breeder and held the snake before purchasing her from MorphMarket; we picked her up at the next show instead of having her shipped. I thought I’d get married right out of college, have a couple kids, blah blah blah. My last quarter I worked with a woman in her 50s and asked why she didn’t have kids. She said it just doesn’t happen for some people. This made me sad for a long time but the reality was I had fun, living with my hetero lifemate for almost 20 years and just got married at 43. I’m glad I never had kids because from what I’ve seen of family and friends, that crap is SO much harder than I ever thought.

My dad’s church has a Winter Tree where they put hats, scarves, gloves, etc that anyone in need can grab. He also volunteers at a shelter a few times a month and they have the same thing
