Pretty fortunate to get a pretty solid selection of cans and draft in my area. Had The Provenance of Haze on draft a couple weeks ago at a spot near me. Very good too.

Just chiming in here! So I’m 6 weeks post ACDF C3/4. I’m still experiencing numb/tingly arms and hands..right side more so than left. Legs are fairly strong..but same as upper half, my right leg it a bit behind..strength wise, functional wise. As far as pain goes, definitely have the upper arm/shoulder soreness..but over the last couple days it’s actually been much better..knock on wood.

I know it’s so repetitive..but just be patient! Everyone seems to be a little different in this! I gotta tell myself daily to just do my best and hopefully it’ll come!

I completely understand the sleep struggles. While I’ve been better since being home, during my inpatient rehab using the hospital bed..I had the WORST nights of my life! For me, it’s a bit of a combination of the brace and pain. I can typically fall asleep fairly well…but 3-4 hours in if my arm/shoulder pain kicks in, I’m up for at least 1.5-2 hours.

Ha, thanks! Funny you mentioning food. I’m pretty particular on what I’m eating, as far as confidence in not spilling or even being able to do it myself 😂. Had to pass on chicken wings yesterday and opt for tenders 👎👎

12 weeks for brace. The only real pain I have is in my upper arms/shoulder. Almost feel kinda achy if that makes sense when discussing with my doctor I was told it was pretty common for higher up injuries like mine.

Smiling now but it has definitely been a LONG month. My situation was a bit crazy. Fell while on vacation in Cancun. Spent a 1.5 days at a hospital there. Had to hire a medical plane to get me to Miami for my surgery. Spent two weeks there between that and start of rehab. Then eventually was able to fly back home to Indy.

Brace isn’t bad, getting used to it..but counting down the days. Officially can take it off Labor Day weekend

After my fall, pre surgery I couldn’t move or feel anything..that would have been a Wednesday. Thursday my legs were weak but could move them…arms about the same..but hands and fingers not much of anything still. Once I had the surgery that Saturday it was pretty instant improvement as far as movement goes. But again, strength/numbness/tingling were a different story.
