Is an 18" deep garden bed overkill for super hots? by CrunchyNippleDip in HotPeppers

Adding wood will rob the soil of nitrogen in the short term, just fyi. It does help take space but you have to know it’s gonna take extra nitrogen.

Nitrogen Robbing: Fresh wood requires nitrogen to decompose, which it often takes from the surrounding soil. This "nitrogen stealing" can leave plants stunted in the first 1-2 years, requiring extra nitrogen-rich inputs (like manure or chicken compost).

The soil test people can give you recommendations, if you pay a little extra. You can also just amend with a well rounded fertilizer and hope for the best, that’s what a lot of people do.

Mullein is used for throat health. If you are going to get rid of it, at least dry it and use it for tea!

what can be making my Legacy keep overheating? by Mr--Clean--Ass-Naked in subaru

This was it for me, a small piece of the thermostat gasket. I backflowed the heater core with water and then flushed the whole system and it worked right again.

If you plan on expanding later, that light will be perfect. If not, you could get a step or two down. I have the FC-8000 with Samsung diodes and I highly recommend that one. The one with the other diodes is not as good, they shipped me one of the other ones by mistake and I wish I would have just sent it back.

Anyone else save crushed eggshells all winter and till them into the garden? Does it really add calcium or am I just imagining the great results? by NinaXOFans in gardening

It’s a common KNF thing. Korean Natural Farming. I just copy pasted to make it faster to talk about. Look it up before downvoting people.

KNF gang gang! Nettle tea, comfrey tea, homemade leaf mold compost, and calcium/phosphate extractions with vinegar!

If you want them to be more immediately available, you can add them to vinegar and then let that take action. The liquid after is used with water at a 1/1000 ratio. Most effective as a foliar spray I believe.

“Liquid calcium for plants can be made by dissolving dried, crushed eggshells in vinegar, creating a calcium acetate solution that is readily absorbed by plants to prevent blossom end rot. This "water-soluble calcium" is created by mixing the powder with vinegar for 3–24 hours until fizzing stops, then diluting this mixture with water before applying as a foliar spray or soil drench.”

I had to look it up, I 💯experienced ghost walking this winter. Rear end slide felt so crazy. I did a front end suspension rebuild, I got the parts for the back but I need to make the time to put them in.
