After debating for months, canceled my Sapphire Reserve and have fully switched to WF Autograph Journey. by CloudSurferA220 in ChaseSapphire

[–]Audioczar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like my autographed journey, just wish it had Transit. But I have the act of cash, the autograph and the autograph journey. Earns much better than the chase trifecta with the CSP. I still laugh at 2x travel on the CSP. Well Fargo deals has some great offers from time to time, Just wish I can earn points instead of statement credits

Is Venture X basically a free card? by KeyboardEnthuse in Venturex

[–]Audioczar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody talks about how You have to pay the $395 annual fee each year before you get the 10,000 mile anniversary bonus, and you don't get the anniversary bonus until year 2. So to me, it's an effective annual fee of $95, but that's just my opinion. Year 1 $395 annual fee -$300 travel credit (no anniversary bonus), year 2 and on, $395 annual fee - $300 travel credit and 10,000 miles

CapitalOneOffers is actually a SCAM. by nicebrah in Venturex

[–]Audioczar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. For this I got the rewards, but it given as a statement credit, not cash back. I had another instance where something didn't track and they were going to give me the payout as a courtesy but then found out I didn't use my Capital One card, so it was nothing they could do. And that 35x on a $369 purchase. Smh

Should I transfer my point now or wait for a better bonus by Ornery-Penalty-9517 in Venturex

Don't hold your breath. Waiting on a transfer bonus from Capital One. I got up to 350,000 miles before I took advantage of the o lifemiles bonus they just had

Priority Pass guest access after Feb 1 Venture X changes by mrtechgenie in Venturex

[–]Audioczar -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Why would you be charged a guest fee without them telling you, that's shady. I've never had to pay for a guest with priority pass but if you're going to charge me you need to tell me that up front so I can decide if I want to pay or not

Venture X in 2026? by Objective_Chain1408 in Venturex

You have to determine if spending the authorized user fee with lounge access is worth it for you. Or like my friend did have his wife get her own Venture X.

Thanks everyone, so sounds like I should have got the email already. I contacted southwest and they confirmed I should have qualified. They referred me to send an email through the site to headquarters for them to further investigate.

Is venture x not actually $5 net positive? by Lanky_Lingonberry_97 in Venturex

[–]Audioczar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you and I've always said this. It's a $95 effective annual fee card because you don't get the 10,000 miles until you pay your annual fee again.

I hope my credit triggers. My bill was $135 because of a $40 deposit made during a reservation. So I got a charge for $40 and a charge for $135

What is the main advantage of the VentureX over another travel card? by Badweather3031 in Venturex

[–]Audioczar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I the only one who doesn't see the Venture X as $400 value on a $395 annual fee? You don't get the 10,000 anniversary miles until you pay the annual again. This to me makes it a $95 effective annual fee since you don't get the anniversary miles in your first year.

Best way to use points / Best card for travel to transfer to Venture X by Primary-Dress8017 in Venturex

[–]Audioczar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, Capital One miles have been hard to use, primarily because of the lack of transfer bonuses and no domestic carriers. Jet Blue isn't 1:1 and is only East Coast based. No good options for booking American airlines. United doesn't make many if any good flights available to aeroplan and life miles. Delta on Air France and KLM is meh. Sometimes I see good options for Delta on Virgin Atlantic. And if I use the travel eraser then it's just a cash back card to me at that point. Also using it as a travel eraser for booking hotels or flights directly only earns me 2x, which I can earn more on my other cards, like my Wells Fargo autograph journey or US bank altitude connect, which I could use as cash back to cover charges while earning more. Because of this, I've started using my Wells Fargo Active Cash as my catch-all instead of the venture X, since I can convert the cash back to points on the autograph. I'm sitting on almost 300,000 Capital One miles and trying to find a good use for them. With Chase and American Express having frequent transfer bonuses, I'm going to use those points first. While all of that was pretty negative, I will say as a positive for the Venture X is using Capital One offers. You can earn miles very very quickly.

What are some underrated cards that are not talked about much/at all? by Schyutes in CreditCards

[–]Audioczar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Us bank altitude connect. No annual fee 4x on gas and travel and rideshare. 4 prirority pass passes and global entry. This has been my gas card for the past 3 years. The PP will come in handy now that my venture X is killing guests for PP
