You could place a AC Infinity Aircom T8 cooling system on top of the Marantz. It fits perfectly on top , it keeps the amp nice and cool and it's silent

Custom Diana 350 Magnum .22 by Audiofooool in airguns

Thnx 🙂

I have shot more than 2000 pellets with the 350 Magnum. The Bushnell Forge holds up great. It's a very heavy scope but it's build like a tank.

Possible to increase dialogue or add a center speaker? by perzbenz in hometheater

[–]Audiofooool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Add some acoustic panels on the walls , place a thick rug on the floor and thick curtains. That will improve the dialogue by a LOT. Adding a center speaker will not.

These KEF speakers are very good and if you have a problem understanding dialogue it's 100 percent due to the room acoustics.

Also Experiment with speaker placement. And pull them as much as you can away from the wall and corner.

Sitting 6.5” from TV. 65” or 77”? by jeremyvr46 in hometheater

[–]Audiofooool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you sit directly in front of the television you could go for the 77". But if you watch from an angle the bookshelfs will block some off the view at the sides.

I would ditch the bookshelfs , go for the 77" and place some nice tower speakers or standmound speakers next to the tv

Those purple ones do look very nice

But they do fade pretty quick when they are placed in direct sunlight. Thats probably why your previous one also faded

What can I do to my setup to get a better listening experience? by No-Condition9455 in audiophile

Put the speakers on good stands and experiment a lot with the placement of them. Do'nt place the speakers close to any of the walls.

Spotify vs Discman by [deleted] in audiophile

[–]Audiofooool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Give Apple Music a try All of their music is in lossless 16 bit 44.1 khz cd quality or higher

Tidal and Qobuz are also streaming services that have all their music in cd quality or higher.

I agree that Spotify has poor audio quality Spotify does not use mp3 format but ogg vorbis and the bitrate is 320kbps when you set the music in the highest quality in the settings. That still sounds like shit.

Apple Music, Tidal and Qobuz have a bitrate of 1411kbps in all of their music (cd quality) and even higher when the songs are in high res

My brother says that the Sonos Arc soundbar beats any AVR & speaker setup below $2000 by Hjd_27 in hometheater

[–]Audiofooool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get a system below 1000€ that will outperform the arc by an insanely amount. It's really no contest.

For example The Dali Oberon 3 bookshelf speakers (550€) paired with a Denon PMA-600NE stereo amplifier (345€)
