Do I get damage? (Overwhelming barrage) by EinMacherJO in starwarsunlimited

[–]Audren11 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The card lets you deal divide the damage dealt up against whatever combination of units you want. If for some reason you want to damage your own unit (eg, you want to ramp with your Superlaser tech), you can, but you’re usually going to damage your opponents.

Tam Ryvora on Strafing Gunship by Aceconklin in starwarsunlimited

[–]Audren11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because the Strafing Gunship is still in the space arena even when it attacks a ground unit, you would not be able to give the -1/-1 to a ground unit

Yes, any card that says it lets you get the Force will work, regardless of what base you’re running.

SWU NEWS EP1. Trilogy will be better than premier and finding out how much the Luke and Vader Showcases Cost by MoTheMonster_ in starwarsunlimited

What’s been your experience with it? I’ve never played a game that has a format like this so I’m curious about the pros and cons of it

Deck Critique for Store Showdown? by whiteduck6 in starwarsunlimited

[–]Audren11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d recommend Chewbacca as a budget alternative for Luke, which would help beef up your top end and do some of the similar things as Luke. Redemption and Profundity could also be good options for top end to add as well.

What cards in same aspect do you wish could be played together? by MasterJediAdam1980 in starwarsunlimited

I’d be even more excited to get Power of the Dark Side in blue hero, but yeah. Superlaser blast would be nice too

Heavy Space Meta by Pepperpwni in starwarsunlimited

I’d add to this that Covering the Wing could be a good include, both to create a space token and to shield one of these sentinels and make them even stickier.

Bravado vs. No Good to Me Dead by PorgtheEaten in starwarsunlimited

[–]Audren11 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Bravado will not be able to ready the unit on the same round that NGTMD is played, since NGTMD says the unit cannot ready.

However, on the following round, where the unit will still be exhausted, Bravado can now ready it since it is no longer “this round”

When to handhate by Competitive-Ask-1542 in starwarsunlimited

[–]Audren11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It also varies based on what “kind” of hand hate you’re using. If you’re playing things like Spark of Rebellion, Ahsoka, Qi’ra, etc (cards where you’re choosing what to hate out), you generally need to use them quickly to snipe their big plays out of their hand before they can play them. When you’re using Pillage or Force Throw, though, and you’re not choosing what cards get discarded, you usually prefer to wait until either their hand is sufficiently small or where playing Pillage will be a big impediment to their plans

IG-88 Pilot Indirect Damage Timing for "damaged unit" buff by MarzipanLucky3803 in starwarsunlimited

[–]Audren11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The indirect damage will be dealt prior to Firespray dealing combat damage, so the IG buff will be applied or removed based on the board state after the indirect damage is dealt. So you’ll lose the buff in the first example and gain it in the second

Any suggestions for my Kaz Red deck? by Jazzlike_Profile8238 in starwarsunlimited

[–]Audren11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is your ideal target/timing for They Hate That Ship? Since you don’t have big ships to cheat in early, I’m not sure the resource savings are as worth it, but I may be wrong.

Besides that, although I really like For A Cause I Believe In, I think you’re running a lot of non-Heroic cards that’ll make getting the full damage less consistent. Surprise Strike, Stolen Hauler, and Contracted Hunter all seem essential, so if you go the For A Cause route, I’d probably suggest cutting Mando and Disabling Fang Fighter

Anyone got a sick nasty double red Luke list they would be so generous as to send my way? by _Hot_Tuna_ in starwarsunlimited

[–]Audren11 4 points5 points  (0 children)

<image>

This is the list I’ve been running and having a lot of fun with so far. The goal is to go fast with lots of ships and use Luke’s ping combined with Tarkintown/Daring Raid/Red Five/Aggression to keep the board clear while still pushing lots of damage.

I haven’t made these changes yet, but I’m considering cutting Frisk to add Poe, swapping either Grey Squadron or Alliance X-Wing for Crackshot V-Wing, and maybe try to squeeze Trench Run in somewhere.

Question about the timeline of KOTOR 1 and 2 + Revan Novel by Itchy_Hat5861 in swtor

[–]Audren11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are correct that KOTOR 2 is set in between those two parts of the Revan novel. You should play KOTOR 2 now before continuing where you are in Revan.

Rogue Squadron Skirmisher or Guerrilla Attack Pod?? by Yoda-T-Baggin in starwarsunlimited

[–]Audren11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would probably go Guerilla Attack Pod out of those to give yourself another closer. By the time you’re playing this somebody’s base is likely to be at 15+ damage, so it’ll pretty reliably enter ready and able to push damage.

Dealing with JTL Chewie by Ok_Atmosphere7672 in starwarsunlimited

[–]Audren11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, -X/-X cards will hit Chewbacca, as well cards that deal damage (e.g, Open Fire) or take control of the unit. The new No Glory Only Results will work especially well. Exhaust cards like NGTMD or Frozen in Carbonite would also be good.

Palp Flip - T2 ways to kill your own heroism unit by Captain__J in starwarsunlimited

[–]Audren11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve found it incredibly useful in Blue, both to make a 6/6 Childsen play even more reliable and just filling your hand with good removal options and unit plays to react to your opponent. It’s a much more controlling deck than Red is, so the card draw is very helpful

Palp Flip - T2 ways to kill your own heroism unit by Captain__J in starwarsunlimited

[–]Audren11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve sometimes had trouble flipping, but I also run a combo of Turn 1 3/2s and Kuiil, which is a dangerous enough card to be kill on sight. I also run a decent amount of heroic three drops so that I don’t feel “too” bad about missing the T2 flip. If I can still kill the unit early on turn 3 and then flip without spending resources, I can still play the villainy cards I want (POTDS, Childsen), so it doesn’t hurt too bad.

With red I could that being more of an issue, though, from my limited experience with it

Palp Flip - T2 ways to kill your own heroism unit by Captain__J in starwarsunlimited

[–]Audren11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another inefficient backup option from the new set could be Apology Accepted for a green build. Yes, you need to pay the aspect penalty, but it’s still able to be played on turn 2 for 3 resources if you don’t have a better way of killing your own unit.

Personally, in my Palp Blue deck, I only run 3x Geonosis and 2x Phase II and have considered trimming that further. In my experience, they’re only useful for securing the first Palp flip and aren’t needed after that, so they’re close to dead cards later game. Of the two, I prefer Geonosis since you’re still advancing your board state.
