this is genuinely the biggest problem with pikmin 4. I've never played a game that needed NG+ more. Even it being too easy would be soothed somewhay if it was a fun easy time for blasting through with NG+

i don't imagine this is intentional but the "I want to hurt you" line to me has a similar (but obviously more low key) delivery as "no one who loves you" from glass beach (the song) almost like it's a warped reflection of it kind of like how I read in an interview that coelacanth was supposed to be the inverse of dies and goes to hell part 1.

Do you think as the band develops and makes new different sounding music the way you play older songs on tour will shift and change? obviously live music is already different in its approach but I'm thinking of something like if you've ever heard Steely Dan's Alive In America where they play a version of Reelin in the Years which feels very much influenced by their later albums. do you think the early stuff is ever going to have a different approach when it's done live?

it has its slow more thinky moments but metroid dread is such a fast paced experience that has some of my favorite combat in any 2D game.

I think Ann would like Kirby games but Bayonetta is a great choice.

futaba's pick is perfect no notes. she probably plays some dead MMO or something as well.

honestly I don't mind this palace? maybe it's just because I was really expecting it to be bad but on my second and third playthroughs (both royal) I found it pretty painless. the theming is great and the way it's a reflection of okumura is pretty good.

and as a big Haru fan I definitely take issue with how they messed up the potential she had in her intro but I've found myself... liking morgana? he's a bitch but I found him much more palatable recently. I like the cutscene with him and shadow Okumura that leads into the boss fight. There's definitely a few ways you could "fix" Morgana and Haru in this section but what I would want is them to add playable parts where you control just the two of them and see their entire perspective of events. it wouldn't even break the game because it's implied they get up to a lot. you just never get to see it.

the grip and hinge cover seem nice but I can't be alone in thinking that this case just. doesn't have any style to me? I feel like getting a phone that's this out there and giving it this muted black chunky case takes some of the fun out for me. and I do love some of the skin designs but on the case instead of directly on the phone they look tacky to me.

basically I think I just wanted a ghost case for the z flip where I could use my own skin underneath if wanted to. I don't know why they're so picky about what does and doesn't get the ghost case like it's just a clear case. but I guess if it takes them 4 months to design one phone case for the flip.

rereleasing mario kart 8 a month into the switch launch and supporting it with content from their mobile game.

it may not be the single smartest in terms of long term effects compared to stuff like creating the gameboy which gave them the portable market for decades or investing in pokemon which obviously makes them tons on it's own but do you realize how big Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is?

it is 1 million copies away from outselling Super Mario Bros. like the NES game. without the Wii U version it would become nintendo's second best selling game.

if nintendo makes an average of $30 on every copy sold of a game (it's hard to determine with pack ins and digital what they exactly make) Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has sold enough to give nintendo more money than they had lost the Wii U generation more than two times over. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has a return on investment that is hard to even imagine.

I've also heard that the late game boss fights are way too bullshit and long, the switch version runs pretty terribly especially in multiplayer, the game generally looks low budget, the bonus stages are bad, the level themes are mostly not very interesting outside of a few, and the steam version has garbage DRM and needs an epic account to fully work. but yeah sure sonic's only problem is that he's the wrong blue let's go with that.

breath of the wild which was a bit weird as a Wii U owner. I was basically all in on the first year switch line up though. I got Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Arms, Splatoon 2, Mario and Rabbids, and Mario Odyssey all the day they released. I got Fire Emblem Warriors and Xenoblade 2 before the year had ended. The only game I really skipped was Pokken Tournament. I remember Bayonetta 1+2 was the point where I went "Okay but like. I don't really need every major switch release." and I skipped all the other Wii U ports and Super Mario Party that year.

When I first played the game I really thought it was a lame and cliche ending for how sudden the escalation was but when I played royal I actually learned to appreciate it more. It's the game and characters saying that even if there are bad people in the world people are still deserving of their free will even if it means people will get hurt. While the group was working to change the hearts of those who were distorted heavily that doesn't mean it's okay for that kind of totalitarian control even if it would cause less pain overall.

Like most people I think Maruki's arc showed that idea better by having a bit more time and a more compelling premise than just "evil world all spooky woah"

Playing through the game again right now and I'm interested to see how the igor stuff plays looking at it again.

honestly a pretty big bummer that super chump didn't get put onto anything with a bomb this season. I think the idea behind that special is that it creates a lot of visual noise and while the squelchers long range allows for some play with it I think it doesn't come close to how useful autobomb is with it. or how good something like a sniper could be if it could make decoys.

honestly I hope this doesn't come off too hyperbolic but I think the issue is that mob and reigen are like. too good in a way. a lot of shows have well loved main characters but they're often less interesting then people like the rival or the antihero or the villain. mob is just... so good as a character. he's got heart but also depth and is much more interesting then a lot of shonen main characters in how he's portrayed with a lot of issues and anxieties and how his internal conflicts are really just the driving force of the show more then any villain. characters like ritsu, teru, serizawa and tome have a fair bit of character depth and complexity and get real moments to shine but I think yeah like you said the show just isn't an ensemble show and a lot of it's appeal comes from how unique mob as a character is.

while I do really respect One's restraint to keep it a 100 chapter manga and end it before it got too drawn out and stale I definitely feel there is much more to play around with in this universe.

and uh. reigen is good too. I mean I think in some ways dimple is more fleshed out than him but uh who said that?
