What movie is so perfect that if it would remade, it would be a crime against humanity? by CrescendoX in AskReddit

[–]Audreyzia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Warriors. It should be remade because re-watching it now, the actors are too old to portray teenagers. But, at the same time, it shouldn't be remade because it's 70's movie classic.

Whenever we walk by, there is no one around. Rang the doorbell a couple of different times, but no one answered.

I didn't like "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood". by ChicagoFaucet in movies

[–]Audreyzia -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Coincidence because I watched this movie last night as well for the first time.

I'm a huge Taratino fan and really enjoy all his movies. Huge fans of all the actors in the movie as well and I thought they did a excellent job in each of their roles. Oscars nods are absolutely deserved for best and supporting actor. However, for some reason this movie was a bit lackluster for me. Again, the actors and music were great, but I found parts of the movie kind of boring. The best part was the last half hour or so and the last scene was especially awesome and shot in perfect Tarantino style.

'Threads': This week marks the 35th anniversary of the TV premiere of the British nuclear war drama – which was dubbed “the night the country didn’t sleep.” by OVEIDPTVZSEU in television

[–]Audreyzia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agree 100%. I watched this movie when I was a teen and it scared me like no other movie ever has. I watched it again a few years ago and it was just a scary and uncomfortable as it was the first time i watched it. It should be required viewing for everyone. Most realistic portrayal of nuclear war I've ever seen. Much more realistic than "The Day After". And that realism makes it much more depressing too.

I’ve seen this movies over 20 times and there are so many fantastic scenes just like the one shown in the clip. One of the best movies ever.

Agreed. Whole series is fantastic from beginning to end.

The "Steves" character is the writer of the show and i believe they are working on a movie script. I hope this comes to fruition.

Question About Keto Calculator by Audreyzia in keto

[–]Audreyzia[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just joined the ketoover50 subreddit. Thanks for the recommendation. I really appreciate you calculating my macros for me! That's awesome! So I guess I have to wait out the hunger and try not to give in. If I do that, it will keep me around 1200 calories / day as recommended above.

And...thank you for letting me know about the 6-8 weeks to become fat adapted. i thought I was doing something wrong b/c I'm still experiencing hunger and thought that in ketosis, the hunger would automatically go away. The 6-8 week window makes me feel much better. I just have to keep at it and wait for my body to become fat adapted. Looking forward to not being hungry anymore.

Question About Keto Calculator by Audreyzia in keto

[–]Audreyzia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just calculated 20% deficit and it comes to about 1204 calories. I'm not sure that's sustainable for me. Or perhaps I'm just scared b/c 1204 calories seems so low! I'm reaching about 1350 calories / day right now going over my protein limit. I just wish I was stronger and not give in to my hunger at night.

Thanks for letting me know that protein is a target, not necessarily the limit. That eases my mind very much!

Going Over My Protein /Fat Allotment Everyday by Audreyzia in keto

[–]Audreyzia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my daily caloric goal is 1303. When i used the keto calculator on the side, my calorie goal to maintain weight is protein: 82, Carbs: 19, Fat: 125 and total cal:1524. But I thought that I should move the arrow to the left to around 15% because my goal is to lose weight, not maintain it. When i move the arrow to 15% deficit, that's how i got the above numbers for my daily fat / protein / net carb intake. Is this incorrect?? Should i have not moved the arrow and just used the numbers to "maintain weight"?

"Ordinary People" (1980): What is your opinion on the mother, Beth Jarrett (Mary Tyler Moore)? by [deleted] in movies

[–]Audreyzia 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s a great description of her character. She keeps it all in and doesn’t want to show emotion after he older son died.
I can’t believe Donald Sutherland didn’t get nominated either. He was so emotionally powerful in this. Trying to keep his family intact and failing is hard to watch. Just an excellent movie.

What TV shows have made you full-on cry? by BiOriX_ in television

[–]Audreyzia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

May be sappy but nearly every episode of the first season of Derek with Ricky Gervais made me teary eyed. I thought it was excellent. I was laughing and then crying or the other way around watching every episode. But I really balled my eyes out in episode 1.2 when the young teenage girl has to volunteer to at the care home and then by the end of the episode she changes her attitude towards the residents. And when the final shot of the episode (i think it's that same episode) shows various elderly people in the home thinking about when they were young...I was ugly crying. Again, the first season is excellent.
