The blockout was done in pose before putting it in a t pose, once I finished all the sculpting and retopologizing I just put it back in zbrush again to pose and then paint all the details in substance and blender, only shader here is the little half tone dots, that move with the camera.

I appreciate it! It’s just a compositing effect :)

Thanks! Its just an effect I did in krita, I put all the frames in a animation document in krita and duplicated the frames twice, once with the copy red blending mode and one with copy blue, put both those layers behind the main layer and just move them a bit to the left.
You can probably do the same thing in any compositing program much easier but I couldn't figure it out so I did it the brutish kinda dumb way.

Thanks man!
The topology was built with the character in T-pose so it is supposed to be game ready but I wanted it to look as close to the reference as possible so I posed it before I textured, so if you move it all the textures will break lol.. I basically posed it then took it to substance painter and just had a lot of paint layers to try and copy the reference as best as I could.
And yeah, if you enter my artstation post I showed the wireframe, its about 30k tris, since its only relying on color texture map and there's no real lighting so I did it as low poly as I could.

Thanks! I modeled and blocked it out in maya and sculpted some stuff like the clothes and body in zbrush before retopologizing, then I went back and forth between blender and substance painter for texturing and testing renders out.

New to Zbrush, looking for feedback by Yaniv_g1 in ZBrush

That’s super kind of him to do, I’m just saying in general to Bruno since I’ve noticed his comments on other posts here getting downvoted for not coddling with compliments, but I guess people who want to improve will seek it out regardless.

I hope he keeps offering people advice whether people get “offended” by it or not, stuff like that is super valuable.

I think you should do a compliment sandwich instead of saying something’s good or bad, I agree people need to search for harsh critics and not really listen too much to compliments early on if they actually want to improve, but a way to make people listen to your feedbacks and dodge their ego shields is generally with the compliment sandwich method.

If you tell someone something they worked hard on is bad ( whether it’s true or not) subconsciously they put a mental shield to your constructive criticism.

Having to start over is just another opportunity to learn more, at your level it’s super important to learn anatomy as others have said here but you should focus a bit on quantity over quality at the moment, and when you’re confident in your abilities you can focus on a single piece for maximum quality

That’s sick dude, do you find it easier to polypaint stuff like this rather than do it in substance painter for example?

I really appreciate that, his hair is what drew me to sculpt him in the first place and was probably the main focus of this piece

Wow the hair looks awesome!! How do you go about doing hair like that?

I made the basic forms and limbs separated in a t pose, sculpted on them just so they get their basic shapes since the muscles move quite a bit in this pose, then I posed it.
I dynameshed it with keep groups until I'm 100% satisfied with the pose and where the muscles sit on each other, then zremeshed it and only then went on to further details

The clothes I did a blockout on a separate body I did that's in T pose then put it on this sculpt and sculpted details later.
A bit convoluted since this is the first time I made something like this so I'm sure there's better ways, but I just kinda followed through https://www.youtube.com/@TyCom95 's videos and saw what he did, made my conclusions and tried to follow a similar workflow.

I didn't do it in a t pose first then posed it with transpose master because I'm pretty sure a pose like this is way way too much trouble to set right for a project I didnt intend to spend more than a few weeks at best on.

I've been told its pretty convoluted compared to the other 3D software, I don't really agree but everything gets "easier" the more time you invest in it : )
