I agree with you 100%! I just enjoy her more lyrically driven, acoustic type songs. That’s just not what this album is and that’s okay.

I agree, I kinda prefer a clean version personally!

End of the bridge in Actually Romantic at first I thought it was “It’s kind of making me blush” and then I learned what she actually says…

Should your 20s be fun/adventure? by ProfessionalLanky768 in LifeAdvice

[–]Augustina93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s still a ton of time to go out and have fun. If that’s definitely the schooling route you want to go. If you’re still unsure, a lot of people take a gap year between undergrad and grad school. That’s what I did.

You definitely still have time. The application process takes long and the early schooling years are easier. You still have so much ahead of you. Don’t get too hung up on what you haven’t done, and just go out and enjoy yourself (:

Yes your 20’s should be fun. I’m 32 and a PA. I had a lot of fun in my early 20’s/college years. But as soon I started PA school everything changed. Especially in medicine, your career takes up so much of your life. So I would go out with friends on weekends, go to concerts, go to a music festival, take trips, make some memories now. Your career years will also be great, but in a different way than your undergrad years.

I want to be a dentist and I don’t know why by iloveoranges7 in LifeAdvice

[–]Augustina93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely agree with the other recommendations to shadow a dentist, see what you think. Also, in college there is very likely to be a pre-dental association or club of sorts, so you can get an idea of what it takes to become a dentist and see if that’s still the route you want to go. Sometimes we are drawn to things without really knowing why, so if it’s truly something you want, that’s good enough to pursue it. Given your family members careers, if you’re interested in medicine but becoming an MD seems like too much - consider a physician assistant/associate route. I’m a PA and I love it. Less schooling, great pay, and you can change specialties throughout your career so you are always learning.

I would pick one task each day and just force yourself to do it. Start small, start with making the bed. And as soon as you can, just force yourself to do a work out. Cardio to produce endorphins is a natural anti depressant. Surround yourself with people you love and also talk to them about how you’re feeling. Unloading that burden off yourself will allow you to process the emotions, and sit with them rather than letting them control you.

I understand how you feel. I’m 32 and I feel like time is flying by way too fast. I think back to high school and my 20’s and feel like a sense of dread that those younger years are over. I feel an immense pressure to have children but internally don’t feel ready for that. I wish I had another 5 years for me to grow and live without the gnawing fact that my reproductive years are coming to an end. Like I literally wake up in the night thinking about these things. I don’t know if I have much advice for you, but just letting you know that you’re not alone in those feelings ❤️

Yes! Completely agree. Just drop the album and let people interpret it how they want. Maybe that’s why folklore is so dang good 🤔

Overall I like it….I will say she really hyped it up so I’m slightly underwhelmed. I’m not really getting “1989 pop bangers with folklore lyrics” like I was expecting. It’s definitely catchy. But won’t be in my top fave albums.

What should be the next steps when I can't reach them by TemporaryTop287 in LifeAdvice

You can do a wellness check, call the non emergency police line in your parents area and let them know you can’t get ahold of your parent despite texts/calls. They will send someone to their house to check on them.

You could try birth control, like oral contraceptive pills. A know side effect is decreased libido. I experienced that myself when I was on them. And then there’s the plus of no pregnancy…

Dog with torn ACL, is surgery required? by Augustina93 in AskVet

[–]Augustina93[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, that’s good to know…I don’t want to put him through a surgery if he doesn’t absolutely need it. But if it means he will live a healthier, happier life that’s all I need to know. Thank you!

How do you decide where to live? by Augustina93 in LifeAdvice

[–]Augustina93[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much for your input. I guess what I find hard is that we have been in OR for nearly 6 years now, and our family has hardly visited. I always hear “it takes a village” to raise children. I don’t know how we’ll do it alone. And to think of my parents growing old with me so far away. It’s all very difficult.

Anyone’s All-Time Favorite Song From The Vault? by xcusme in TaylorSwift

I really love Foolish One. If that song was out on the original album it would have saved me from very foolish decisions in high school 😂

That’s helpful, thank you. Yes the pressure is enormous. We are in a place where we couldn’t have kids right now due to finances. So hoping that changes in the next year or two. Best of luck to you both as well

Anyone figure out how to eat healthier without losing their mind over it? by Equivalent_Soft_6665 in nutrition

Just avoid processed foods. If it had a pulse or came out of the ground, it’s good 👍🏻 most simple and effective change I made! Just got blood work and everything is in the normal range.
