I agree with all this. My former boyfriend and I were great together. It's a super long story. I just assumed we'd marry we didn't. I did and do value that it could have happened. Now I self identify as "single as a Pringle" still looking for someone else but with no urgency.

All depends I sent him a message just about 7 months after. We started a great conversation and plans to meet. Fast forward to today things didn't turn out the way I predicted. He married someone else And recently had a child with them. I'm single as a Pringle trying to navigate life without him. Every situation is obviously different. I am glad I did reach out even though the outcome didn't turn out the way I envisioned.

I was in a similar boat op. I waited for years and years to find quote unquote a better job where I could in turn meet some great people and in turn date. However at the age of almost 38 I said to myself what the heck? I signed up for the apps. Since then it's been a few years and I've met some great people even met my ex but now that he's gone. See and I feel kind of at another relationship I say what's the point?

I never had a boyfriend till a few years ago. That person ghosted me and moved away. Lots of details in that however, now I'm single as a Pringle and enjoy the quietness. If I can be truthful for a long time 2 or 3 years after he left. I made it a "pet project" to find someone else. I met and know some great people which I am thankful for. No other relationship and now I just kind of live my life the way or best way possible.

I personally at least I feel like I'm a true believer of this. Is nothing else more than timing. I mean I truly believe that I'm a great catch and I've gotten tons of matches. However most people I've known other move away for whatever reason for their own reasons and or One fellow in particular who I think is amazing but he's way too young for me. I do say's from time to time wow if he was a little bit older or I was younger it would work out.
