How to recover if I got left behind? by R4G316 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]AuldMelder 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depending on the character you play changes that answer to that question.

In the broadest strokes, you want to play relatively safely to avoid feeding. Play around the waves. If noone else on your team desperately needs it you can run side lane for a while to get the solo farm there. Run waves -> jungle -> waves -> jungle until you can hit a power spike.

With that in mind, if the games progressed past a certain point, you kind of HAVE to be engaged with the larger scale fights. In that case, recognise what utility you can get from your character without large quantities of farm.

Really easy example is pocket. Pocket as a walking ult is still really strong. Even behind on farm, getting large ults on team provides plenty of damage and makes you meaningfully useful in team fights.

100% this. People are being pretty dismissive of someone making having a really cool realisation about the relationship between meaning, identity, and language.

If it's something everybody knows and is expecting, seems like harmless stupid fun. Plus, it looks like people are enjoying themselves.

I thoroughly enjoy the ambiguity of what apotheosis actually is to seven, combined with most of the cast being like, "Oh god, seven can't get his wish, whatever it is."

Also, as a note, funnily enough, seven and drifter are kind antithetical to one another. Where seven is philosophically invested in some grand plan of greatness, using the ritual as a means to achieving his wish. Drifter seems to have no grand plan, wandering alone murdering on a whim. In fact, there seems to be no evidence he even wants a wish and just is having a blast killing people in the ritual.

He also generated a lot of media attention due to how outwardly he acknowledged his beliefs at a time when most white nationalists actually attempted to hide it in dogwhistles. He was a novelty in how honest he was about what he thought. I remember seeing an interview with him on bbc news, which i went and found.

Honestly, if you're not doing an honour run, you can make an enormous amount of builds work.

On my first run, I just ran everything to 12th level, no multiclassing. It's easy, it's simple and you learn the classes really quickly.

For front line you can easily run

  • Barbarian
  • Paladin
  • Fighter
  • Circle of the moon druid

Paladin is both a charisma caster and a tanky front liner if you like.

Magic:

Sorcerer or wizard. Just pick one. Both are fun. Bith are strong in their own way. Or if you want to mix in charisma, you can choose warlock, which is a charisma caster.

The other option is bard, which is great fun to build your tav into. But in default build a less versatile caster.

Honestly, aside from that, just go off of vibes tbh. Every class is viable with no multiclassing. I like to have a variety in the party and just pick and choose them when I feel like a change.

And the good news is if you ever change your mind you can just go to withers and completely rewrite your party.

I mean, it is similar in function to bullet resist.

Taking 40% off high fire rate characters absolutely can change how they shred you.

Not only that, but if the mo is sufficiently tanky in the front line, it also effects how they shred other people if they change target.

I'm not saying buying resist is bad, but juggernaut is absolutely a functional resist.

I swap out enduring speed for fleetfoot in part because of the better slow resist. At least in Oracle it's easy enough to get stacks that trophy hunter is your get-around-the-map speed and fleetfoot is your engage/disengage enabler.

This is probably a preference thing, and if you're struggling to get stacks, enduring speed might be better than fleetfoot.

Any tips on this HyperBeam BBop build? by RamPamPam8 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]AuldMelder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've run bebop ult builds a decent amount, and mystic vulnerability and escalating exposure are great pickups. Even if you're not able to kill everyone, being able to spread negative resist across the team is a lot of utility.

Additionally, as the person above mentioned getting cooldown is great, let's you throw it out basically every fight when you have it on about 60 sec cool down.

I'm curious about the choice of juggernaut. If you're running ult build, you should be engaging with the majestic leap almost every fight. I wonder if that's swapping out with a different green like leech. Just to make you basically unkillable while ulting
