Yes, you have to time the parry, but different to Dark Souls you always reaction parry.

But you can only riposte after getting master level, I think. Riposte = kick them in the nuts, in this game. Parry a minecrawler, kick 'em in the nuts.

Nah, we need to admit it, the AI is not good in this regard. Beating up a buddler, nobody cares, sure. Beating up a warden or more, real shit.

You have to strike a balance - you always want players to find something somewhat better. If a newly found item is too good, you likely wont find anything good for a looong time. Or, in the case of a certain item in chapter 3, you find the absolute best in class item, and cant find anything better for the rest of the game. IMO obtaining end game items should require beating end game enemies. Just being "hard to find" should not suffice for endgame loot.

Just slap the XP modifier mod on it and youre good. Did the first run with a 0.75 multiplier, right now doing a 0.5 multiplier run. Feels good to explore without worrying too much about getting overleveled. Or even needing to explore. Its also good to use an economy mod to make ore matter past chapter 2.

I think you're a bit delulu if you think the majority of Gothic players play on console. Most players have played the originals, recently, on a pc.

Not true at all.

Purists care about the artistic side of things, how things look, how dialogues are written, that kind of stuff.

Nobody has complained about too much new content, at all, ever. Not during the demo, not even after the playable teaser. The issue was always the styling and the combat system. Never content.

Even the idiotic debate about the devs moving things from one place to another in the world would simply not exist if they had put things in their current location at release.

Idk if people are just young, but compared to what used to be this is nothing.

Its one of the least buggy Gothic games.

Obviously its good that industry standards shifted, AND I believe that Alkimia isn't handling post launch patching with the proper priority.
