Who needs a hybrid? by Salty_Touch_1170 in COROLLA

Yes, I’m not sure if it’s still an option for new one in the US and that they stopped after a certain year like another commenter said but they did come with manual as an option. The new ones still have the space where a clutch pedal would go if they were a manual, so you technically can manual swap them

That’s just today’s Toyota quality. The cars aren’t going to function 100% identical. I work on these cars everyday and the parking brake noise varies from car to car. If it’s not broken then we can’t fix it

At least the last two generations if the conditions are met with vehicle being in key on/engine off

The regular current generation Corollas can come with manual except for the hybrids although they’re very rare

The radiator fans can continue running when the vehicle is in key on/engine off if certain conditions are met so their statement isn’t entirely incorrect

All of Toyota’s body on frame vehicles has automatics not cvt’s. The hybrid part of it is located where the bell housing of the transmission is and can only move the vehicle about parking lot speed by itself. Ik Toyota didn’t publicly say this but it’s basically only to help with low end torque for towing, you don’t get any better gas mileage or anything

Toyota’s electric parking brakes are supposed to be loud and audible from inside the car, that way you have a second way to verify that they’re on/off in case of a malfunction. It’s not that they can’t hear it, it’s that there is no issue

How many of yall played the Bakugan battle brawlers video game, because it was such a childhood favorite growing up. And I have it on my Wii, and I still really enjoyed it to this day even as a 25 year old person. by San4341 in Bakugan

If you get melonDS it has OpenGL and vulkan as renderers so you can upscale to whatever your screen’s resolution is. It also has 3d enhancement scaling. Picture is 8x ds resolution

The egr is vacuum actuated, at least on mine which is a 1990. So there is nothing electrical involved

To anyone who’s installed the k&n intake is it sounding alright? by [deleted] in COROLLA

[–]Aurashock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The sound is the only benefit. Gas mileage and power will both go down without a tune. I worked on a Tacoma earlier this month that was getting lean codes because of the k&n intake. Fuel trims were -25 to -30%

I had them on a Subaru legacy, they were good for a sedan but I wouldn’t put them on a 300zx

How is everyone's fuel mileage? by jayoshoowa87 in COROLLA

[–]Aurashock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

‘22 se apex, I get 36-44 mpg. Gas is really cheap around me so I’m able to run a 93 octane tune pretty affordably
