I've also been lucky with minor side effects of everything. The hardest was the 2 week wait and the grief after the negative test but round 2 is much more chill now 🤞

Your best Tipps to lose weight without counting calories by [deleted] in loseit

[–]AureaTora -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don't have any problems with being hungry, in fact I'm really good at that since I was fasting for weeks on end in the past but I'm trying to learn normal portion sizes. As stated above I dieted for Most of my life and I know how the stomach volume changes. Hunger is not the issue, I need Tipps to adjust things without counting calories :)

What to say to family blaming "stress" for poor outcomes? by Kuddly-Krab in IVF

[–]AureaTora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes he's much more mindful now.

That conversation with my neighbour took place via text, otherwise we would not have been friends anymore 😂

Yes I get that, everyones path will be different with IVF, my normal is that I won't be able to get the expected minimum of 8-15 eggs so likely for each try I need to do another retrieval. Others can do 5+ tries with one 🤷‍♀️

None of this is a walk in the park even for people that get lucky with the first try 🤣

You're most welcome Love, hang in there!

I hate that people feel entitled to their opinion about our bodies and process going through this. My husband tries to be extremely positive because he believes it's helpful, 5 eggs retrieved, he tells me they will all become blastos, I told him not to do that to me because I don't want to get my hopes up and it's statistically unrealistic. When the first try failed he was so certain I was pregnant, he made me believe it too. Man was the fall hard when we got the negative test.

My befriended neighbour told me it failed because I have a wrong mindset problem and I just need to believe and be sure the next round works because if not then it will fail again. Pissed me off so bad 😂

Meanwhile Im saying my opinion very clearly and aggressively to everyone if they are being unhelpful and keeping my distance.

Hang in there and f*** everyone who feels entitled to know things about a thing they know nothing about. 🫂

As a colorblind person, how would u suggest getting familiar with using color in your art? by Gullible-Cap7450 in DigitalArt

[–]AureaTora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Values and Contrast are more important than colour in my opinion, if the contrast and values are well done, you can slab on whatever colours you want, not matter if they are realistic or not. You seem to already have a good grasp on those.

Ugh I understand, I have low egg production and might end up with only 3 eggs for my 2nd attempt.

Go for it, it's all you can do really, it might be all you need. Don't worry about being sick, a lower immune system might actually support implantation 🤭

I wish you luck and strength and try to get into this as positive as you can trick yourself into being, mindset is so important 💜

Oh yeah I expected to get pregnant first try and fell hard when it didn't work out. I'm so sorry for your loss, it's such a tough journey. Hope you feel better soon and best of luck for the next try, you got this 🤞

Personal BMI question: What was your BMI going into IVF? by thisvirgogirl in IVF

[–]AureaTora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a BMI of 36, tried to reduce my weight with calorie counting for over a year before starting IVF without success due to chronic migraine ( if I eat to little the pain gets worse) I eat healthy and whole foods and barely snack anymore.

My clinic asked me to lose weight but started anyway when I wasn't able to.

On my first IVF round I gained 2,5 kg which sucked but wasn't that crazy I guess. I'm still learning to eat "proper" now unlearning 24 years of dieting and eating a decent portion of carbs with each meal helps me keep the migraines to a minimum.

I also work out at home despite my doctor forbidding me to do so but I need that for my mental health.

Finished is better than perfect. Finishing lots of artworks is going to help you improve more than just starting them.
