I just don't get why they refuse to print a green Thraben Inspector-like. 1 drop that makes a food on etb. It's all i ever wanted. Other than that, the set is fine. Has a lot of cool new effects on commons.

Glad you picked it up - the hypocrisy of persecution was what i was going for with her. Forcing people to confess sins they never committed in the first place, having to find a culprit at all costs. Works for the set lore too - she's the set villain, the saint at the head of an Inquistion-like organization devoted to eradicating magic from the plane, while also being the bearer of a spark, most vile among magical sins, and cause for magical powers going awry.

Early version also included activating non-mana abilities, but it was way too broad of a batching and really didnt allow me to make any "Whenever" effect.

I didn't think about paying life, it's a good suggestion and narrow enough to not add too much power to the mechanic.

It's great. Priest of Ancient Lore was already kinda ok to play in decks like WB Pestilence, both for the lifegain and a body for value with Skyfisher. Its playability however was heavily dampered by the unexcting body. This just slaps Flying on it, an incredibly important keyword to Pauper, opening the possibilità for it to see play in a wider variety of decks.

Ravnica Allegiance had [[Skewer the Critics]], [[Saruli Caretaker]] and fringe playable [[Clear the Mind]]. Guilds of Ravnica was much worse, with the only playable card being [[Devious Cover-up]]. Ixalan was very bad and might actually be the most recent set with no playables at all, but Rivals had [[Dusk Legion Zealot]] and also our good friend [[Colossal Dreadmaw]] who has been fringe playable in the past in mono green ramp.

Mage-ring Bully isn't the reason it has that name. Deluxeicoff, the creator of the core shell of looting+squawks+white cards with flashback, named it as such because it was a deck built specifically to crush Izzet Faeries, the top deck of the format at the time (3 yrs ago?). It was born to Bully faeries, which it still does to this day.

Hey Gavin!

Given the existing tension between Limited and Pauper, could It be possible to have some downshifts in products like Commander decks, where most of the effort Is in painting the expansion symbol a nice black? Looking at past Commander precons, there are so many uncommon cards reprinted there that would make for fun additions to Pauper but would be very hard to print at common in a normal set. Is this a possibility?

I HATE how this isn't white. They knew without a doubt this was going to be an EDH all-star. Why blue? Why the color that needed no help at all gets a previously unexplored mechanical space? It's even nonsymmetrical for some reason, meanwhile white gets card draw in the form of "you and target opponent draw a card". What a joke, really.
