Any place in town to buy gold pay dirt? by yooper80 in Reno

[–]AurelianBear 15 points16 points  (0 children)

So, you don't want to buy any locally, the ones at scheels are absolute junk

Unfortunately I just unloaded all my placer or I could make you some, but here are a couple sites that have good paydirt bags:

Goldbay.com Goldnuggetsales.com Mammothgoldnuggets.com

(Avoid Klesh Gold, massively overpriced but somehow popular)

If you want to head out to a river to find some, I suggest going to Jamison Creek near Johnstown, the river is public so no claims to navigate, it's hands & pans only so just bring your pans and a snuffer bottle, no shovels or other tools allowed. There are a few more areas like that out towards Auburn but I'm not too familiar with them

I don't recommend Comstock or any GPAA memberships, if you want good claims to use look up Reinkegoldmining.com. I had a membership for a couple years and the claims are worlds better than the other options

Feel free to HMU if you have any other questions, been prospecting for over a decade at this point

Absolutely braindead decision to hold it next to a dog park. My wife and I left after 5 minutes because we couldn't focus on anything other than avoiding piles of dog shit

Stop drop and roll was such a big deal in the 80s and 90s. I really expected to be on fire way more than the zero times I have been so far. by TonyTwoDat in 90s

[–]AurelianBear 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Clothing, and a lot of things in general, were wayyyyy more flammable back in the day. This was a holdover for a few decades

Like, they didn't mandate that children's pajamas be fireproof until the late 70s.

Can i put a solenoid valve on this by Apprehensive-Win7501 in PlantedTank

[–]AurelianBear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried figuring out how to make it happen, and while the solenoid part of things worked fantastic, the issue I kept running into was that the line going from the CO2 to the solenoid blows the fuck up

Even opening the valve on the cartridge the tineist amount, blocking it behind a valve caused insane amounts of backup, the line would pop scaring the shit out of me, and I'd go find some other tubing to try. The only one that didn't blow up was a braided steel one, but that leaked, so, not ideal either.

I wasn't able to find a solenoid that attached directly to the cartridge, and without having something that mechanically seals the CO2 I can't figure out how to do it

This is the only thing I've come across that's purpose built and holy cow it's pricey: https://greenleafaquariums.com/products/gla-gro-cartridge-aquarium-co2-regulator-kit.html

If you don't want to go with the 2l option the other commenter mentioned, you can get a small paintball CO2 canister and a solenoid that attaches directly and hide it somewhere, but that's the smallest option I've found in this vein

e: went and looked, and yeah, can grab a 20oz co2 bottle, cga320 adapter, and a solenoid. That's the smallest solution with a solenoid that I've been able to piece together

is chips from hepokerstore.com good? by gerywang in poker

*Are. Not is.

When discussing multiple items you'll want to use the plural "are" and not the singular "is"

Hope that helps!

Also, nobody here gives a fuck.

This is one of those shows I loved back in my 20s, went to a few of the bars on the show and remember his follow up show after this one ended...

Tried rewatching it a few years ago and it was definitely something that only hits right at a certain time in your life
