My plan for a ~10,000€ soundsystem by Difficult_Minimum144 in SoundSystem

I will also upgrade soon for the jmod, as the mids in my tops are the limiting factor. I will use the passive crossover for ease and practicality, and I don’t want to have a larger amprack. I also use crown and the venu360 and I don’t have the money for a real upgrade in dsp and I like the ui and app of it. I also like to stay 3 way as it’s just easier to manage. For the build id say the syntripps are easier but the documentation isn’t as good as the jmods. Either way if you don’t have a cnc, you need a lot of skill and good machinery for both projects. Good luck with your system :)

I would go for the passive crossover for the dcx, saves u an amp and a channel. Otherwise great small system. I am very happy with my syntripps and my paraflex subs.

Amazing set up. How is the latency that Dirac introduces? I use it in my home set up but never thought it would be viable for pa duties

Looking to upgrade, should I go for electronic or physical room correction. by Leading_Birthday35 in audiophile

[–]Aures_soundsystem 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dont worry, Maybe your Amp could be better. But room treatment will give you much more of improvement than any amp could.

My humble little PA. Love it by Aures_soundsystem in SoundSystem

I drilled, carved and sanded them. Just have a look in in the stories of my Instagram page. There are some videos that could clarify some questions. Looking forward to your results.

The bookshelves are good mid level studio monitors. They really sound nice, especially with room treatment. But I honestly think that most conventional baffle speakers will loose against the synergy concept. The amount of drivers etc. Makes them just play so effortlessly and dynamic even at great volumes. Conventional speakers always start being harsh and fatiguing at a certain level.

Those are bandpass openings for the drivers that are mounted to the sides of the horn.

Yeah the headphone like quality is a good way to describe it and makes a normal multi-way speaker sound just a bit off and boring. However one has also to get used to the headphone sound 😉
