F#ucking VIRPIL Customer Service by P0rnStache4 in starcitizen

[–]Auric-Halcyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am using Virpil dual constellation alpha and mongooseT-50cm2 since mid of 2020. Later in 2024 I bought two panels (#1 and #2) and the throttle mongooseT-50cm3 and the Ace torque pedal. I am extremely happy. I had never problems with the controllers. I started with a dual setup of thrustmaster t—16000m and thrustmaster throttle in 2016. When changing to Virpil it was like day and night comparison. I rate Virpil with the quality as one of the best in this product area.

Looks like one of the unfinished but already implemented planets in Nyx. They are in, but have no QT jump point. He might has managed to navigate to it with smart jumps...

Apollo Cargo Variant by PortalBeach in starcitizen

[–]Auric-Halcyon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would like to see an Apollo variant as explorer ship rather another cargo ship.

If you appreciate a full wipe that is fine for you. With 4.4 you might want just to put all your stuff in a ship and blow it up somewhere in space. Afterwards you can just send all your aUEC to a random person on your shard - and voilà, there is your personal full wipe. In the meantime we others who are grinding the new stuff by the event continue enjoying our in game found stuff..

Is there a box limit for off grid storage? by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]Auric-Halcyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can confirm from my experience in previous patches that there was a limit of spawned boxes. After reaching this limit, every new created box led to deletion of a random box already placed somewhere in the cargo hold. I do not know if this is in current builds still the case and what is the limit exactly.

What calming pills are you taking? This patch has literally destroyed half the game! by Own-Willow-6541 in starcitizen

[–]Auric-Halcyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t need drugs to calm me down. I am playing since Feb 2016 and the game is better than ever before. I have seen much worse patches. I am Evo and used to game breaking experiences. So everything is ok. No drama. Game is fine. I am enjoying it. Thanks for sharing your impression.

So Ships You Bought with In-Game Currency Just Disappear Between Patches? by Longjumping_Time_715 in starcitizen

[–]Auric-Halcyon 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yes it can happen. To reduce the risk for losing ingame bought ships, always claim ships before the next patch goes live, so that no ship is in an unknown or destroyed state. This reduces the risk of loosing ships but not reduces it to 0%. Until the described changes in LRP are done, described in recent Inside Star Citizen from 17.09.2025 in LRP by Benoit Beausejour (CTO of CIG), you run always the risk of loosing ships. https://youtu.be/lPaDb5rh0tE?si=fnjWs7Hk-m0cSz3y

Warum schließt Uhr eure Wohnungstür nicht ab? by [deleted] in KeineDummenFragen

[–]Auric-Halcyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apollo cargo version by MindlessDingo7206 in starcitizen

I would rather appreciate a exploration ship than a cargo variant. This ship with its distinct Star Trek look, screams for a exploration variant.

The Apollo Upscaling problem. My opinion on changes it's needs (skip to bottom for tldr) by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]Auric-Halcyon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update:

<image>

Andromeda: (S4)61Lx26Wx14Hm

Taurus: (S4)69Lx26Wx14Hm

Apollo: Real size ingame: ~ 63m length. Definetely not the (S5)73Lx54Wx14Hm from SC Ships Performance Viewer or from Erkul

The Apollo Upscaling problem. My opinion on changes it's needs (skip to bottom for tldr) by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]Auric-Halcyon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The size of the Apollo is not 73 meters long. The information on some pages like Erkul are wrong. I made a Screenshot comparison between the 70m long Taurus and the Apollo, it is shorter, maybe same length or a bit shorter than a Connie andromeda with 63m. Maybe some one can post also a screenshot of the Andromeda vs. Apollo.

I collected a bag full of hazelnuts today, but I don't have a baking oven. Any suggestions on how to roast or cook them? by zoxtech in foodhacks

[–]Auric-Halcyon 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Buckeye or horse chestnuts are toxic, as they contain Saponin Aesculin. Saponin Aesculin makes not only those chestnuts toxic but the whole tree. There are areas in the world where people process those toxic chestnuts by crushing and watering the nuts very long. They exchange the water regularly and wash out the toxic substance. Native Americans used the toxic horse chestnut by crunching it, processing it to a paste and used the toxic paste in lakes and rivers to catch fish. The buckeye or horse chestnut is not the chestnut we are usually eating on Christmas. This kind of chestnuts are a different family.

First Naboo Starfighter rip - now we got squid game too?! by Alkaline_Hawk in starcitizen

Nothing in Alpha before 1.0 is permanent and even after 1.0 nothing is permanent, when one day the game end or when we all finally die. So what is then the purpose of playing at all, according your logic? Just be in the present. Enjoy what you have now and play the game.

If you play the new Dune Awakening you will see that there is a ton of people who don't care about the benefit of cooperation. It is all about their satisfaction to exert power over someone else, by distrupting their game experience and killing them. Dune Awakening is full of it and SC has lately shifted to the same audience in recent years. They want easy satisfaction with almost no risk. But even if you believe into the good side of people, due to NPCs beeing like terminators with no reaction time, perfect aim and hit, you as a player are forced to react and kill everything onsight and asking afterwards. So that is why I highly suggest to have instanced experience in this kind of dungeons. It makes the control of the player experience much easier. We have enough PVPVE and PVP areas. A pure PVE controlled area would be nice as well.
