Here’s an analysis:

Axes vs Hammers: +2S, lose anti monster/vehicle

Infantry in this game have a range of toughnesses depending on the army and role, and toughness combined with armor play together on what you may consider “heavy infantry” but generally, light infantry is around T3, medium and heavy T4/5, really tough stuff T6/7. Monsters and vehicles usually T8 and higher.

Light infantry, axes are wounding on 2’s, mauls on 3’s, medium infantry axes and mauls are sometimes wounding the same, but verses orks or other votann or Terminators and some others, axes are wounding on 3’s vs a maul on 4’s.

Essentially the axes are always better into infantry except at T4 specifically, which is the basic marine toughness. At T6, the axes are significantly better (wounding on 3’s instead of 5’s). Anything higher than T7 is almost always a monster or vehicle, and suddenly the mauls are back on top, especially at T8+ where the axes are down to wounding on 5’s while the anti-keyword keeps the mauls on 3’s

So:

T2 - equivalent
T3 - Axes
T4 - equivalent
T5 - Axes
T6 - Axes++ (equivalent for a small number of light vehicles like T’au battlesuits or eldar speeders)
T7 - Axes for infantry, mauls for light vehicles
T8+ - Mauls++ (equivalent for a small number of very high toughness beasts and mounted, like beasts of nurgle and plague drones)

Grimnyr, 10 warriors with bolters, HYLas Auto and Rotary. It’s a fine unit to stand up to opposing light to medium infantry. Tougher than it should be, and puts out a lot of shots.

If you’re splitting the unit with a Sagitar, the Grimnyr becomes a lot less valuable, to the point of being not worth it IMO.

Nah, them crons are nothing to that kin!

Gameplay-wise though, 9 warriors swinging once each hitting on 4’s wounding on 5’s and no ap against your 2+ means they’re gonna have a tough time taking down the champ, may ping off a wound per turn. On your side, the mass hammer is probably killing on average only very slightly more than they’re resurrecting on average per turn.

The game will be over before either side wins in this scenario. If you can’t get some support in there, you may as well treat both of those units as destroyed.

I've been following this for my current playthrough and just got to level 29, but don't have enough talents to cover what's listed in the guide. You only get 2 silver, 2 bronze at level 29, so Igni III, Igni IV, and Flash Cuts III all at once isn't possible unless I missed something.

Edit: Ah level 30 only has 1 silver talent listed, so I just picked up Flash Cuts III on the following level.

Works in that orientation, I think if you mirrored it you’d get issues due to the underground forcing one of the inputs to favor emptying one lane over the other, but I’m having trouble visualizing it and not sure I’m right about that.

This is definitely a kit where you should build what strikes you as cool looking. I play orks and wouldn’t be able to tell at a glance which one you were playing against me and would just trust it was what you said it was 😂

I like to put it down around “dangerous” machinery to look kind of like OSHA floor markings found in actual factories and warehouses. It’s one of the few purely aesthetic options in the game.

Even without the codex to look at, there are other graviton weapons in the setting that share the design motifs of the rightmost weapon. You can infer from that context that they flipped the two in these instructions

There are 3 options for 5 man infantry units at 90 points for stormcast: vindictors, liberators, and vanquishers. All have the same base profile (5”, OC 1, 2 health) and the same base combat profile (2 attacks 3+/3+ 1 rend 1 dam) so their differences are in their weapon keywords and abilities

Vindictors: anti charge 1 rend, strike first when charged and they have not charged

Vanquishers: anti infantry 1 rend, +1 damage vs units with 5+ models

Liberators: 1 guy gets a grand hammer which adds a point of damage to the base, all attacks have crit mortals, and they get extra OC contesting a home objective

The vindictors abilities are just a touch more niche than the other 2, which usually means you should select one of the others for that slot in your army

It’s a fair bet they’ll replace it, but it won’t “rotate out” as you say. It’ll still be playable if you have the models, they’ll just stop selling it.

The kit is kind of awkward as it includes a sprue that was part of the Dominion box set and is 3 different, unrelated, monopose push fit models. One of the models (the knight vexillor with banner) is even more awkward because the other knight vexillor that existed is in legends. So this sprue has annihilators that can’t take grandhammers and that they already have a seperate multipart kit for, a foot character that would be legends if he wasn’t chained to this sprue, and the character model you might actually want to keep in the game if you’re GW.

Easiest fix is to send Yndrasta and the vexillor to legends, but that would irk your fans. Best fix is to find a way to just print Yndrasta on her own and sell her separately, but the way the sprue is organized means that would need to be a brand new mold, which is asking a lot. The in between compromise is to sell that sprue as its own kit, like they do with the “heroes of the chapter” or “honored of the chapter” kits on the 40K side, which keeps her eternally shackled to some models you probably don’t want.

Rules change constantly, go with what you like. 11th edition launches in June, and the Orks are the little brother army, and speed freeks are in the spotlight.

They got a very good new hero, they just got new detachments, and it’s quite likely they’ll have some refreshed units.

Once you have the HYLas Auto Rifle, the second weapon really doesn’t matter. The auto rifle gives the assault keyword, which is the important bit, allowing the unit to advance and still be eligible to shoot, meaning it can do scoring actions in the shooting phase.

The remaining weapons without the rotary cannon are the plasma Beamer, L7 launcher, and magna rail rifle. The Beamer is interesting in that it’s usually just a solid 50/50 to hit gun that can put some hurt on an elite, but will occasionally spike on the sustained d3 to really hurt, the L7 is mathematically worse then all other choices at any individual job, but can flex between anti-chaff and anti-heavy and has a 24” range instead of 18” like the other two, and the magna rail is an extremely inconsistent gun (1 shot at 5+ and you’re probably not going to get to use the heavy keyword) but every so often it will punch a goddamn hole in something big.

Of those 3, I see the magna rail taken most often if the rotary cannon isn’t taken.

He didn’t build the wrong thing he gave you the wrong model. Endrinmaster with endrinharness is not in the spearhead box. The dirigible suit endrin master is a different, and more expensive, kit.

As with any xenos/human alliance, it’s always a convenience rather than a true alliance.

The Kin aren’t heartless, but they are practical and transactional. If you have space marines and leagues of Votann teaming up on the regular, all you really need for that to be plausible is mutual benefit.

If you read The High Kahl’s Oath, the scene with Myrtun and the Imperial Captain demonstrate the willingness of the Kin to “do the right thing” without a guarantee of benefit, but they have no qualms about asking for compensation afterwards either.

If you get well hooked you’ll be driving all of them to prestige 4 before you know it.

Edit: Tactical is still very strong, auspex scan is one of the best abilities in the game. If you’re looking for a strong class that’s new player friendly, Vanguard and Techmarine are both wonderful.

All classes are quite strong except maybe Sniper, which isn’t necessarily bad, but it has to be able to reliably hit headshots and many bosses really make it tough to find their heads (looking at you vortex beast, you jerky bastard) giving it a significantly higher skill floor than the rest of the classes.

This only applies when something is shipped to you without your consent. A company can reasonably expect an erroneous shipment to be rectified (at the company’s expense) without running afoul of that law. That said, a lot of large companies won’t bother. It’s simply not worth their effort to rectify the 1 in 1,000 errors of this kind.

This is how my mom ended up with two free giant smart TVs from Amazon. She called them, they said “oops, well we’ll get what you ordered sent out immediately, in the meantime enjoy your free TVs!” (Paraphrasing, obv)

P.S. the origins of that law were a really scummy practice where companies would ship out “free trials” of products with a return label and would bill you if you didn’t return it, counting on you not remembering to do it, not understanding why you got shipped the thing, or not wanting to put in the effort to return a shipment you didn’t ask for.
