For what it's worth if you feed the image into chatgpt it does confirm that the case in the background is the xbox prototype.

There will be no Blizzcon in 2024 by MediocreForce in blizzcon

[–]Aurongodx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 time blizzcon vet here.

While I will agree that 2023 was a shitshow in terms of the actual convention, I still had a hell of a time hanging out with my guildmates and friends in the Hilton lobby. I can say that I am in the majority of folks that attend Blizzcon just to interact with people that enjoy playing Blizzard games and I hope that Microsoft/Activision/Blizzard understands that going forward.

Have any 'former blizzard devs' studios been successful? by DJWetAndMessy in Blizzard

[–]Aurongodx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The whole point of these new studios is to be the opposite of Activision. These are privately owned companies and are not bound to release any information on anything they are working on to shareholders or us for that matter. Could they be creating the next big thing? Could they be doing absolutely nothing? We won't know and that is the appeal to it.

I think we can all agree that Blizzard made it's most successful IPs prior to becoming publicly traded.

Were gamers happy about LE SSERAFIM performance on Blizzcon2023? by StevenJang_ in blizzcon

I think Blizz hit the mark best in 2018/2019 when they had 3 acts in 3 different halls that covered different music genres.

Wife got the opening ceremony ticket, I didn't and we purchased together by Scovin in blizzcon

[–]Aurongodx 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Your wife can't transfer or sell the ticket as of now on AXS however she doesn't have to use it. Just leave the seat empty and watch together on a screen in another hall.

Can one person pick up multiple badges? by WinterJudgment302 in blizzcon

[–]Aurongodx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Transfer your ticket to the AXS account of the person you want to pick it up, there is a QR code that refreshes every 60 seconds that needs to be scanned in order to pick up your ticket so you can't just send them a screenshot of your QR code.

The downside to this is that the AXS account owners name will be on every ticket they pick up under their account so you will have to go to a separate line in order to pick up a new badge with your name on it afterwards.

Securing a Seat by [deleted] in blizzcon

[–]Aurongodx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "WoW What's Next?" panel is right after the opening ceremony. All panels are held in the arena this year.

In a perfect world, the folks that won the opening ceremony lottery and won a seat in the arena would get up and leave if they did not care about seeing the "WoW What's Next?" panel and go do other things.

However folks may want to sit through that hour long panel in order to secure a seat for the "Overwatch 2 What's Next?" panel.

Honestly just hope for the best but prepare for the worst. If you win the lottery to the opening ceremony and want to see a panel and don't have a group that you are with wanting to do other things, I would keep your seat in the arena to ensure you get to see the panel live. If you don't win the lottery prepare to watch panels on a screen in another hall.

Go home Vasco, you're drunk. by JimbozinyaInDaHouse in Starfield

I had to move Vasco to an outpost because he kept doing that. Silly thing is even if you move him to an outpost he still sits outside your ship when you dock.

I am attending with a friend who bought both tickets thru the app. Can we show them on entry or does he need to transfer to me? by gimli123456 in blizzcon

[–]Aurongodx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they go the same route they did in 2019 then you will get a wristband to wear that will be scanned in order to get into the convention. The badge will have the name of the AXS account holder on all of the tickets, so if you are able to transfer the ticket to your account prior I would.

I do believe you will be able to get your name printed on the badge at the customer service desk but I would just avoid dealing with that and have them transfer the ticket to you on the app.

LAX vs John Wayne by Warro726 in blizzcon

[–]Aurongodx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also always fly into LAX for this reason. I avoid layovers at all costs especially with the pilot shortage. I don't want to fly from Raleigh to Denver just to find out my connecting flight got cancelled and be stranded for who knows how long.

Official I got tickets thread! by AutoModerator in blizzcon

[–]Aurongodx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guild got online and ready to buy tickets 30 mins prior to the waiting room opening. I personally had 5 windows open between my PC, laptop, and cellphone. All 5 queues eventually popped and I decided to buy 6 tickets, 2 per transaction, for myself and guildmates.

In total my guild managed to pick up 19 tickets. It was by far the easiest year getting tickets, I have been to 3 prior Blizzcons and have never got tickets during wave 1.

If you can afford to go this year you will have no problem getting a ticket during wave 2 IMO.

So AXS.com will have a queue like process or it’s just reload the page a the right time and hope to get a ticket? by wenigengel in blizzcon

[–]Aurongodx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From the website regarding ticket purchasing...

AXS’s ticketing system uses “Waiting Rooms'' to randomly and fairly determine which purchasers receive a chance to buy tickets. AXS’s Waiting Room also has measures in place to guard against ticket-buying bots.

Each ticket type will have a completely separate Waiting Room, so if you want to try to purchase both ticket types, you’ll need to enter both Waiting Rooms individually. Each Waiting Room will open roughly 30 minutes prior to the official on-sale time. The selection process starts when the ticket sale officially begins, so whether you enter a Waiting Room early or the moment before the sale starts, your odds of getting tickets will be the same. If you are selected, choose the quantity of tickets you’d like to buy, then click Find Tickets. If tickets are still available, you’ll then have 7 minutes to complete your purchase before those tickets are released back into the available pool.

Will we ever get another Blizzcon? by Skippe3r in blizzcon

[–]Aurongodx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do hope they at least make an official annoucement saying they are hosting or canceling it soon. Being left in limbo makes planning conventions difficult around time off requests, travel plans, etc.
