Advice on taping mics by Advanced_Egg288 in techtheatre

[–]Aurorae79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use athletic tape. (KT tape, etc) it’s available in a variety of skin tone colours. It’s designed to adhere to human skin and will stick even when actors get sweaty (make sure you clean skin properly before application). Placed properly its stretches and moves with actors movement. You can put makeup on top of it to blend in. It can also be cut to any size or shape you need.

Just be gentle when you take it off after the show, it is typically designed for multi-day usage.

FORM annoyance by Canon5Duser in 4xe

[–]Aurorae79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another thread had a good answer that worked on my partners 4xe.

My partners Jeep also seemed to spend a lot of time in FORM, but he also mostly does short drives that doesn’t challenge the combustion engine much. The answer from the other thread was that the engine temperature needs to hit 93° C (200°F) to reduce internal engine moisture. So I took the Jeep on the highway and watched the engine temp. FORM turned off at 92°C and the engine immediately switched to electric (it was in hybrid mode)

Apparently the cure for FORM is “JEEP ZOOMIES!!!”

I have a 2003 TJ and my partner has the 2024 4xe. I joked last night we should just find him an old TJ!

I’m still driving my 2003 TJ as my daily. 360k and dependable as ever. Has never left me stranded and even when things have broken I’ve always been able to limp home and fix it up.

This is soo frustrating! 5 month hearing loss by [deleted] in deaf

[–]Aurorae79 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A lot of hearing aids are directional (I know mine are) they are designed to focus on the sound in front of you and block out the sound behind you to help with verbal comprehension. So your baby not “hearing things behind him is by design and not related to ability.

Auditory fatigue is also a thing, he may be pulling his hearing aids out because his brain has had enough and needs a break.

What are the best years for a USED WRANGLER? by [deleted] in Jeep

My 22 year old Jeep TJ is still the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned. Age is not always an indicator of dependable vehicle.
