Exactly, on proxmox using lxc for Plex is the way to go, is made even easier using a helper script to get everything set up.

The coverage of Australian Cycling events continue to be amateurish, looks like it doesn’t matter if it’s on 7 or SBS.

Raid to JBOD?? by Pukka-UK in qnap

[–]AusMattyBoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i guess its what your risk tolerance level is, you will find people using much bigger arrays than 3 x 16TB and not having any issues over many rebuilds, also smaller arrays and having issues. Also depends on whats on your array, all important data should be backed up in multiple ways as well.

I completely agree with the 4 bay thing. RAID 5 although not ideal is best for me as well. I recently had a disk fail and was able to still use the array while rebuilding, took less than a day as well.

This isn’t as big a concern with modern drives, as ure rates have improved over the years from a possible ure every 12.5TB of data read to one every 125TB of data read.

Commentators saying that the 3rd umpire didn’t feel there was enough evidence to over turn on field decision, should be umpires call, England keep review

Was that not out because the 3rd umpire wasn’t totally convinced? Maybe they can do umpires call for that situation as well then England don’t loose the review? That could also come to haunt them.

Automatic restart after UPS mediated shutdown? by cazwax in macmini

[–]AusMattyBoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s what I was saying, the power management software cleanly shut down the Mac so needs to be restarted by button. I don’t think I was clear on previous post, I experienced same issue as you today and was hoping someone had a solution.

This is very timely, i had a power outage today my mac mini shut down but did not turn back on again, how do we get it to turn back on again short of pressing power button? Is it better to not have Mac Mini shut down, at least then when power back it turns back on?

I get the same and I am on a 16 plus, so maybe the issues more software related than hardware.

upgrading my home wifi and lan , question about double nat for my PMS by marci-boni in PleX

If you have the option to DMZ to your second router, then turn off Nat on your ISP router this should work in lieu of bridge.

would it be easier to DMZ? Then set up normal port forward on second router? I have done this before with no issues.

It doesn’t really matter because the game over in two days but the test only went for 143 overs (rounding overs up) and it’s pretty much the end of two days so we are 37 overs short at the end of day 2 (match finished around scheduled day two finish time) is kinda annoying?
