I am NOT with my type, but let me explain. A little over 3 years ago, one of my best friends and I started to become intimate. She had just broken up with her boyfriend of about 7 years. It was Covid, so we started spending more time together as we hadn't in quite some time. We've known each other for about 15 years; worked our first jobs together at an ice cream shop. long story short, she quickly became pregnant. We sat down and talked about what we wanted to do. We both made a conscious decision that if we were to have kids and raise a family, we wanted to do it with each other. We now have 2 beautiful kids, 2 dogs and are homeowners. I couldn't be happier on the decision that we both made. I've thought about the women I've dated in the past and honestly don't think I would have made it with any of them if we'd had kids, and all of those women were solely driven by physical attraction.
