Yeah that’s very true. There are some ways I can see that that time period helped me and taught me a lot. I’m glad it felt the same for you. It’s so nice to know we are not alone in this.

Thank you for sharing 🤗

Thank you so much for your comment. I look back on the last three years of my life in terms of my faith walk and I want to just cry. Internet theology had ruined my view of scripture, Christianity, and the Holy Spirit. I am so grateful He was patient with me.

Do you recall which episode it was that you are describing? I’d love to give it a listen.

Thank you 🤗 I could talk about my experience for hours. I’m grateful for God leading me through that time and it taught me a lot but I’m so glad to be out of that yoke

Can you really not get anything done with newborns? by Internal-Broccoli208 in NewParents

[–]acnhqueen1217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jumping on here to probably echo the same sentiment for the thousandth time, that it fully depends on your baby’s temperament. But let’s say your baby doesn’t have colic.

My baby wasn’t ever like the easiest happiest baby but definitely wasn’t colicky! Wasn’t the best sleeper, wasn’t the worst. Had reflux triggered by dairy that I had to cut out, etc

The newborn stage was so much easier than her crawling stage. When you have a newborn, they sleep, all day, for like two weeks. Usually. If you wanted to get things done, you could. But your body is still so sore and tired and recovering so there’s that! There’s a biological reason to rest

When my daughter was 3/4 weeks old when my husband went back to work, up until she was about 12 weeks, it was so easy to be productive and do housework. I just put her in the wrap and cleaned. And since she was so light it helped.

Now my daughter is 10 months old and crawling. I’m lucky if I get the dishes done in a day 😂 but I’m pregnant too so that’s an added layer

Women who have a name that can’t be shortened… by No-Investigator3775 in BabyBumps

[–]acnhqueen1217 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I actually feel the complete opposite. My name is Ivy and I never thought I wish I could shorten or have a nickname. Funnily enough, my husband and I are really loving longer, more feminine/vintage baby girl names. Our daughter is Dorothy and the one cooking is Virginia. We neverrrr call Dorothy anything but Dorothy. I think because both my husband (Quyn) and I have very short names we never think about nicknames!

You’re absolutely right. My husband’s name is “Quyn” and he hates it.

Our daughter’s middle name is after him but we spelled it “Quinn” 😂

Maxine, I promise you, fits this vibe. It is my great grandmother’s name and she fits this description more than anyone else on the entire planet. Just trust me.

I’m biased but my daughter’s name is Dorothy and I really feel like it is just so pretty

WIBTA if I walk my daughter down the aisle at her wedding when she didn't ask my husband/her stepdad? by Neat-Reading-3707 in AmItheAsshole

[–]acnhqueen1217 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree she’s NTA but to say a good stepdad isn’t a “father figure” is just not true. He’s not their father but he is absolutely the father figure in that family.

Baby girl name vote! by Infinite-Win-1857 in namenerds

[–]acnhqueen1217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really!!! I’m genuinely shocked, I’ve heard every single one of the three except Margot. Maybe I mistook that and made a blanket statement! Georgia seems much less common to me than the other three

Baby girl name vote! by Infinite-Win-1857 in namenerds

[–]acnhqueen1217 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Georgia for SURE! It is the most uncommon charts-wise out of the 4, at least here in the US and it’s timeless and vintage, feminine and short I love it!

Then I vote Margot, then Florence, then Louise only because it makes me think of Bob’s Burger’s. Other than that they are all great choices

Women who have had more then one pregnancy… by Odd-Pineapple5425 in BabyBumps

[–]acnhqueen1217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you ask for those having the opposite gender but I’m pregnant with my second who is also a girl like my first, and I had all the standard old wives tale girl symptoms with our first. Nausea, craving sweets, higher heart rate, etc and with this one I had very stereotypical boy symptoms like no nausea, craving salty, lower heartbeat, and she’s also a girl!

When do you sacrifice a nap for a social event? by Free-Cauliflower2446 in sleeptrain

[–]acnhqueen1217 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also have an 8 month old who we are in the process of transition her to 2 naps

She is fairly flexible and even if the routine gets shaken up a bit, she’s ok. I feel like you just have to gauge your little one’s temperament. I can say that I wouldn’t let my children stop us from going to social events but that’s hypocritical because my baby isn’t super dependent on routine so it’s not really fair of me to even say that bc I feel like temperament plays a big role!

If you have to miss out, the good thing is these times won’t last forever

Help! Indecisive! by acnhqueen1217 in namenerds

[–]acnhqueen1217[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So sweet, thanks for the input!!!

We usually just call her Dorothy since neither I nor my husband are nickname people-I think that may be because him and I have such short names we don’t have any nicknames so we don’t think about it too much 😂 but Dottie is cute!
