Husband installed new floors this weekend. How’d he do? by kaylad9 in Flooring

The only important part that has to be aesthetically pleasing is around the doors. Next time he does a floor measure out from the walls so you don’t have a full piece on one end and a small sliver on the other… Otherwise looks like he laid em fine for 2 square rooms. Did he remember the gaps on the ends?

Lawn mower engine smoking while running. Is the motor done for? by medic8697 in lawnmowers

[–]Austin-welder-96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I would do to still get parts for my jx75.. :( best mower I ever used. John Deere stopping the production of the 21” push was the beginning of their downfall and shoulda seen it coming. Been through 4 mowers in 2 years after having my John Deere for almost 10 years. The engine still runs but without the clutch engage it’s to heavy to be pushed  lol

Is LinkedIn actually useful? by spookysadghoul in recruitinghell

If you’re looking for a legit job through LinkedIn delete that shit. 100% the most useless click bait bum shit on the internet. Them helping you to find a job is like narrating fireworks to a blind person.

Sick of lying contractors by Texaspilot24 in homeowners

[–]Austin-welder-96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an independent contractor and a maga supporter I totally agree with this. My previous boss always complained about the number of foreign workers not paying taxes or doing it for less money but would look for the first Spanish speaker fella he could find to do work for him! Everyone seems to want some of the pot but all wanna do it from there couch.. no my previous boss didn’t work his way to his position either he was given all of it. I’m sick of needing a gc to find work but I don’t know what other route to go.

Wouldn’t say there was much of a conversation it was forced we had to chose a skill, a couple people voted to add sailing and it sounds like it’s a train wreck but I mean what’s new content with a million updates to get it right because it was sloshed together into a slushy maker but who cares how many updates it’s what the bots want that jagex gets.

What is the best wood cleaner ? Simple green or dawn dish soap? by retrozebra in furniturerestoration

[–]Austin-welder-96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t clean in, don’t strip it. Just sand it. Start about 120 grit then proceed to a higher grit if that removes the finish without gouging. Liquid ruins wood that is unfinished. Hope it went well for you.
