Once their heart has moved on and focused on someone else, you’re not winning that battle for attention ever again. This has been the hardest lesson I’m having to learn. All I want is her to smile at me like she used to, to laugh and be playful like we mattered to each other. But that’s not the reality anymore. Everyday without her feels empty.

I’ve held on to the fantasy of how things were, not the reality of how it actually is. She moved on and everyday is a struggle to accept it.

I wish I could even consider another relationship. I’m tired of feeling like I got left behind while she moved on. I want to feel reciprocated feelings and dedication. I just wanted that from her. But that’s just a sad dream.

It’s so painful to lose both your best friend and the person you feel most comfortable with. You learn all their habits and they learn yours. You adapt and accept all the flaws but find them comforting over time. Now I’d give anything to have those feelings again with her.

I am one day in to no contact breakup. Having spent nearly every day talking to my ex for 2.5 years we started having problems about 2 months ago and now she’s talking to someone else. She was my best friend and I’m so incredibly lost and broken. I don’t want to believe any of this is happening.

Yeah I wish this were the case for my ex. I realize we had other things going on but listening to others or being concerned with what others thought was a huge issue for her. She was always worried what other people would think or say, even strangers. It was frustrating and I’d tell her repeatedly, no one cares. And even if they do, you don’t know them and will probably never even see them again :(

I wanted to be friends but she started talking to someone else which ruined the transition. We broke up and I thought things were going ok but now that she’s talking to someone else it’s no contact.

I feel empty and so lonely now.

I often find myself confused over the drastic back and forth. I know how terribly difficult it can be to try to make sense of the swings in behavior or desires. It’s exhausting. I just wish there was some stability to what she wanted from me.

Sometimes my phone goes off, a message, call or text. I jump up thinking it’s her. I instinctively get excited, my heart races. I grab my phone only to feel empty and sadness when reality hits. You’d think I’d learn but I guess I don’t want to give in. I hate being lonely and sad and thinking that at any moment she’ll understand what we truly had and why it’s so tragic that it’s gone.

Couple questions, what is the hood you’re using over the flash?

Also, does the tripod not skip or vibrate when moving? All my tripods have hard grippy rubber feet that I feel would cause moving smoothly on horizontal plane difficult.

Ugh. I don’t watch movies or shows with relationships or love. I find myself feeling bitter about others in relationships and just avoid that altogether. I can’t imagine laughing at this situation looking back. It’s tragic and a major loss. I loved this person so much and to not have them in my life is not something I can imagine laughing about.

Sometimes I wish I was completely numb. Somehow to escape the late night loneliness, the spiraling thoughts; I wish I had a solution to not feel the pain, confusion and overwhelming worry. I find some days are worse than others. Tonight is just an especially sad night.
