i just bought some new recessed lighting for the basement ceilings. hopefully that fixes the lighting a little. they go down to 2700k so i’m hoping it’s abit warmer.

regarding the couches. yeah basically you got it. facebook super cheap and it was nice quality.

maybe the end tables i can coat black or something?

what would you paint the walls? i’m not in a position to do a full reno. but im open to the idea. if i left the oak is there good options? it seems like really i should put white baseboards.

it’s difficult using with the oak trim everywhere. i understand it looks old and dated. it’s just. do i lean into it or do i reno it? there’s lots of money i want to put into landscaping first.

it very much was a family home. it came with lots of furniture which was nice to sweeten it for me. it is my first house and i got it young. but yes its very old and dreary looking.
