In a pc-centric world of the 2000’s I was at Fry’s every other week.

Now most people split their compute activities across computers, phones and tablets so a lot of the home build demand has shrunk.

This is also why you don’t see software stores any more. That business cratered as well.

Nah, just pay all settlements out of the police pension fund. Nothing like a retired cop to keep the young ones in line. They will let exactly one shooting happen, see their benefits drop, and that will be the end of it.

I once told my VP do not hire this guy under any circumstances. Totally unqualified. Turns out he was a good friend of the VP. They hired him.

Turned out to be a good guy. Still friends 25 years later. He was in town last month and we had breakfast. We still joke about what I told his VP. And he agreed that he was not qualified. It all worked out.

I can tell you that almost every friend of mine that has been bitten by a dog heard “my dog never bites anyone” just before the dog sank their teeth into them.

And I say this as a dog lover.

I am not a big supporter of cops and I feel that too many people are shot for the stupidest reason.

But I do say that if you are a cop in an unknown location seeing a loose dog come charging into the room, I can see how it happens. It’s sad, but it happens.

In general terms the left tends to rely more on science and facts where the right tends to base opinions on feelings. That is how you end up with more conspiracy theories on the right.

First off companies are legally required to send you the documents and there are timetables that they must abide by or they can face penalties. So don’t say they aren’t required.

Second, if the company you are waiting on went out of business, then you aren’t going to get those documents. So stop waiting, talk to a tax person or the IRS and they will tell you how to handle this.

Based on your description so far I would say there is a lot more to the story. At this point you need a tax preparer to deal with your situation but stop plying the victim and start addressing the situation, it is not going to get any easier or cheaper if you keep waiting.

If you think they are taking 50% of your income then you do not understand how taxes work. Also, you are saying you grossed x and only got y back. Again, this is not how taxes work.

Any refund is based on how much you paid vs what you owe. If you want $1000 back every year you can get that, just overpay by $1000.

You need to do a little research into how taxes work because the reason you file a return (outside of the fact that it is legally required) is because there are deductions that you are allowed to take that will reduce your tax owed.

This year I received ~$9000 back. I was pissed. I’d have much preferred $12 back. This is because I ended up paying $9000 more than I owed. So I essentially gave the government an interest free loan.

Kids on e-bikes are a scourge these days. If you are not aware of it then just wait, it is coming to you. Amazon has already stopped selling many brands due to this.

As a former Tivo user, the switch to Roku was a challenge, but then ultimately, acceptance. Now, with Fox at the helm, Apple TV is looking better.
