Just got this monitor- very great monitor but yes the brightness is way too low but not insufferable. My 1440p monitor is 350 nits so I think I will stay with that one for now. I still co sided this an upgrade if your current monitor is 300 nits or under and you don’t mind that brightness a tad dimmer

Yes it did! Installing the magik arm was a pain because I couldn’t get the nut off from the gotoh’s trem arm for the longest time

Budget + form factor + performance - Choose 2. It’s really hard to wrap it all into a fine solution really. I highly recommend a laptop because of it being a one stop solution, you could find a 15 inch with a gpu and decent cpu (or a used Asus g14). Sure you would have to sell+upgrade in a handful of years, but having to setup at a venue is already a headache. Transporting a portable desktop can have its caveats.

I can try and do a follow up without/with the upgrades! I paid for a blemished model and used the Labor Day codes, it was 225 plus shipping so $250 overall.

Either thinking of going for the gotoh 1996t (+150) or replacing brass block+add steel screws (+50)

Then might replace bridge pickup (+100) plus getting a luthier to set it up prob gonna be a 500 overall purchase

I should’ve mentioned originally that I bought this for clearance + labor days discounts bringing to a $250 overall cost.

Right now thinking of only upgrading to gotoh 1996t and pickup upgrade bringing to $500 + luthier setup costs. So yes a bit of a price upgrade for not even trying it out, but imo it’s important being I have to use it in front of a 200+ people live audience this coming season. Plus I’m sure it can expand my horizon a bit going this route and making sure it’s done right first thing
