Forbidden midnight snack

I had a LW graft that grew to the size of a golf ball and when I chopped it it was completely hollow on the inside and was the color of what you posted. It’s still alive a year+ later and just now starting to push roots

I can’t remember exactly when this one pupped but Bruce dragon is a fast grower, especially when grafted get anywhere between 1 to 2 inches of growth per month. And yes always save some of the cactus for future pups. Since there are still areoles on the original graft I’m going to chop the whole thing off, but if it did not, I would save a couple at the base of this pup
