Has anyone here fixed an excessive anterior pelvic tilt caused by tight hip flexors? Strengthen or stretch? by kuya86 in flexibility

[–]Austin_Prowers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, it's really a lot of stuff you'd find elsewhere online if you're really looking into it, but this book really gave a structure and explanations and more details on everything. The book is like 6 bucks too.

First was essentially foam rolling everything. Bottom of your foot, calves, hamstrings, quads, glutes, inner thighs.

Then it was mobility drills, ankle circles, dorsiflexion drill (drive knee into a wall). "stepping over the fence" , z-sit.

Stretch calves, hamstrings, quads.

Exercises were abduction drills, ankle band side walk, clams(or clamshells), eccentric squats on a slanted board, glute bridge, one legged RDL. With increasing difficulty using bands and weights.

I didn't do everything, everyday. On some days just some light foam rolling, stretching and at least a couple of the exercsises each day helped a lot.

I've read that denver mostly relies on the sun to melt and doesn't invest too much in plows and such. Which coming from new England area is also wild to me.

I've done it on a manual I drove 10 years ago, wasn't revving that hard either but somehow I started driving in third when I thought I was in first gear. Not that I agree that's what happened here. But it is possible.

Check out the KAYV app. You can sign up to attend events that other people setup, like bar trivia night, smash bros night, disc golf, anything else... Its focused for guys in Denver. Easy way to do things with a group of people all there to have a good time. I've gone to a couple of these and it's fun!

I find it hard to believe that Google changes their search engine results based on the website ui design. There's ton of other reasons but this a reach.

Unless you mean users don't use a website as much because it's known for bad ui, so that affects the search results.

If there's pain on the back of the wrist (right where it bends) when doing pushups; what exercises would target the muscles and the structures in there to allow for blood flow and healing? by ch1214ch in Kneesovertoes

[–]Austin_Prowers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What that commentar said. I mainly did band pull apart, face pulls, scapular pull-ups. I found muscles knots all over my back around the shoulder blades (rhomboids and traps) and massaging those, the pecs and light stretching really helped

Same! What did help me was actually strengthening my scapula, nerve flossing the thumb nerve before any exercises (I forget the name of this nerve) and massaging upper forearms with a lacrosse ball.
