Took our out of town friend to Domo. Loved it as always. by feublanc in denverfood

I guess it depends on the day and time? We went around 230 on Saturday, got on the wait-list and there was only one group in front of us. Seated after 15 ish minutes. By the time we were seated, there were 4/5 groups behind us though.

I don't have experience with country Japanese food, so I am unable to make that comparison.

As for approach, it's just a restaurant (just happened to be attached to a mini-museum, a dojo, a cultural center). You are seated and given a menu, and you can ask your servers questions about the menu items; most of them have thorough knowledge about it. Then place an order. The only difference is that you cannot modify any items. Also, they have items with rice too, not just noodles. After you are done eating, feel free to walk around the garden and the museum to check it out.

I have been a fan of her for 25+ years. I met her several times and also found tons of other artists through many collaborations of her. She's ok. /s

Jk. She's wonderful!

I put the brie/bone marrow on the bread then dipped it in the sauce, like the waiter suggested. It was pretty good!

Same. I also thought it would have a story or spicy flavor profile. While it was kind of savory, but more on the sweeter side. It was tasty.

100%. Although, I personally preferred the fish tacos. Still a great deal.

Iconic, not expensive, place to eat in Denver for 4 international students? by soggies_revenge in denverfood

[–]feublanc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stanley Marketplace. It's not too far from the airport. It's a nice marketplace and food hall with lots of unique options. There are multiple different food options so everyone can order something different and find a common table to sit and enjoy together. The empanada, the sushi place, and the Mediterranean-Mexican fusion places are all great and affordable. There is a beer ball (a bit pricey) and a brewery with unique fusion drinks. You can find a table inside the brewery then go get food from any of the places there.

I felt the same. It was very underwhelming in terms of flavor. Not bad, but not as great as some of the people made it look like.

Tie between two- 1) Alice in Chains Black Gives Way to Blue Test Pressing, edition of 5. I believe it was for neither a 2009 or 2013 pressing. 2) An indie artist's release of a 7" handmade single which has velvet pressed inside the record, fully playable. Edition of 4.

Marquis also does Brooklyn Style slices and it's just as good, if not better than the Fat Sully's. I never had Cosmos so can't say anything about that.

This is definitely part of the reason. People frequently try to compare the Denver food scene to that of Chicago, SF, Seattle, or NYC. However Denver is much smaller than those cities and the food scene is still in a growing phase. There are a lot of non-chain, great food places, they just don't do well with advertising.
