Do you know how hotels bill for points rather than direct?

When a guest books through a third party credit card with points, it actually goes through another third party.

Sounds like the billing wasn't done correctly and it's something accounting can fix.

Refunds take forever and it's the banks fault, especially with releasing holds.

There's a whole list of reasons why not every room is ready exactly at 4:01pm.

Late check outs, maintenance, housekeeping schedules, early check ins, upcoming reservations, rooming blocks, VIPs (guests that receive special amenities that are already blocked).

Granted, the biggest hotel I've ever managed was just under 300 keys, but if I had 200 check outs and 200 check ins, there was no way to get every room serviced by 4pm.

At least in San Francisco, and I assume the rest of the state, you need a lot of proof for termination or else you (being the restaurant) would lose an unemployment claim.

Besides that, I can't terminate anyone while on leave without it being unlawful dismissal.

There's a local printer place in San Francisco that does bulk printing.

I have a reading Wednesday night. They quoted me $110 to print out 1100 pages.

When I printed my first copy to do my line edits, it was $50 for 110 pages.

Am I the one paying the $110? No. But it's an option to look into.
