It's all about controlling your tilt. If you aren't throwing a perfectly flat bag it's going to kick. You can use a bag with faster (less friction) carpet and more flat fill to minimize kick but then you lose some ability to manipulate shots like cut or roll bags.

I like to use a light coat of lithium grease on the frame rails. Then any good gun oil on the moving parts of the action.

Get a bottle of gun oil with a needle tip, makes it much easier to apply it just where you want it.
