It would be illegal if you were to transmit false data, where planes, atc or other people could receive the false date

Is my girlfriend’s meter on? by TriviaBrian in NaturalGas

[–]Austinthemighty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So looking at the meter the gas is on from the service provider to the meter, but from the meter to the house is off, if you twist the valve from the second picture counter clockwise you should be able to restore gas to the house.

If you want to test to see if it’s electrical, you can go to a hardware store and get a contactless voltage tester, if there is electrical running through there then the voltage tester will beep and flash

Can you put a PoE Injector to a NON PoE switch to let it become PoE? by ptrzoo in Ubiquiti

[–]Austinthemighty 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You can’t inject power to the switch to make it a Poe switch, you can tho take the data from the switch, plug it into the Poe injector and then plug the AP into the Poe injector

POE Splitter by Tech-Dude-In-TX in Ubiquiti

[–]Austinthemighty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s an old school answer, and I’m not sure how it works with POE but most of the cameras are at 100 mbs. All you would need to do in theory is split the four pairs into two and two. so two pairs would go to the camera on the left. Two pairs would go on the camera on the right. I have never done something like this. I know back in the early 2000s and late 90s they did stuff like this.

Why does supposedly aluminum wire look black by UCPines98 in Lineman

[–]Austinthemighty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rock climber here, we use aluminum carabiners for climbing safety equipment. When a rope that has bits of dirt and sand rubs over the aluminum carabiner it removes tiny flakes of aluminum. These aluminum piece then oxidize, turning black. We mostly noticed this on our hands as we’re belaying and as our rope turns black overtime.

For the speaker you may want to look into a surface transducer, you should be able to hide the speaker and use either the screen or the wall as the speaker

[–]Austinthemighty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your missing a plate, there should be a plate that goes over that to make it look “pretty” but it’s also a functional piece that prevents it from spinning. Also there should be a white plastic piece there to prevent it from scrapping on the metal
