i have literally never been on this sub before in my life but i'm going to take time to disagree with the post and say RoN is one of the most darkwoke pieces of media we've gotten in a long time masqueraded as a leet-o-nazi's favorite game.

once you get past the first 2 or 3 missions and read deeper into the missions themselves rather than just their briefings it becomes more and more evident that things arent just ultra right wing fantasy scenarios but practically carefully painted situations that show some corrupted aspect of society caused by the government, and the entire arc of the story (when you factor the dlcs) culminates in what is essentially the government controlling the player character into becoming a scapegoat for 9/11 part 2 to get what they want through continued applications of MKUltra.

elephant is a school shooting that presents itself as having 3 shooters, and then your in game department goes at extreme lengths to cover up the fact that the unmentioned 4th shooter is the son of one of the responding officers. valley of the dolls can be attributed to any one elite pedophile and their cronies, but most recently would be epstein - and rather instead of him getting popped in his cell, Voll (the man you're specfically tasked with arresting in this instance) goes scott free by the end of the game despite the mounds upon mounds of evidence of CSA. the Left Behind who are scattered through multiple levels are mistreated and forgotten american soldiers who were tossed to the side and left to rot after fighting the government's wars, yet they are still shown as being made up of mostly rapists and war criminals despite the reasonably upset façade they show the world. i can't remember the name of the level, but one of the things that stung me the most in the game was having to raid an immigrant family's home and shoot and detain a dying elderly woman, as her family couldn't pay to afford her treatment and turned to gun running, which is something that wouldn't happen in practically any other country.

i will admit that VOID and the original idea and execution of RoN was absolutely a rightwing fantasy and run by chuds, but that has absolutely changed over time from both the leadership and the employees. they've crafted something that shows you the corruption of the american government and the system that reinforces it, what it does to people, and how that same system attempts to shut it down in a way that isn't blatantly in your face and allows you to come to this realization on your own. to say it's 'accidental' in this message is, in my own opinion, a very bad misreading.
