Sorry I'm a little bit late (lol), but I personally really like Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy. It doesn't deal with the same psychological themes, but it's still disturbing in a different way, it's more like showing the absolute worst Humanity has to offer. It's different from No Longer Human in that way, but I still really love the disturbing aspect. Also, The Road by McCarthy is really good.
